  • Got my award letter today a day after the child benefit letter was returned to me by registered post
Now just waiting for the card & pin.
I think the home access people have been very quick, so far, it's just the waiting for the child benefit letter that has delayed this.
TBH, waiting a little while is not a bad price to pay to receive this, it's just the worry that all the grants will be taken that puts the pressure on.
Hope everyone gets thier CB letters & award letters soon
Comping again - wins so far : 2 V festival tix, 2 NFL tix, 6 bottles of wine, personalised hand soap, Aussie miracle conditioner

Married my best friend 15/4/16 :)

I was told by the guy on the phone i could send my Oct 08 Child Benefit dated later as i haven't received one since.
I also re-rang up and another colleague said the same.
  • OK guys, so I've got my Notification :D.

Which Laptop do you recommend, I'm leaning towards the Samsung R519 as it has an intel chip. However the fact the Toshiba has an HDMI port suggests that it's onboard graphics maybe a bit better.

    Please Help? :D

I am annoyed that those of us who work yet are well within the £16000 income bracket are again excluded from schemes aimed at those on a low income.
  • We got our Child Benefit letter back today so am hoping it wont be too long now till we hear if we have got the Grant or not.

It looks to me like the "free" educational software drives the price over the value of the grant.

That is interesting; from their site is it a promotion during February.
However, they include OpenOffice (which is free anyway), whereas others include Micro$oft Office (which isn't free), so it's a matter of weighing up the options.
