I was a little confused by the Misco support user account on mine too, as I took that to be the admin account and couldn't work out why the password wasn't working. I now know the parent account has full admin rights too and the support one is just in case I need techie support!
Hope you get your access key soon - dd has found the read and write software fab.
I'll phone up and try to get key later, got to go out soon and I'm sure ds won't be too upset about the software, he'll just be pleased to have a laptop to do his homework on rather than having to do it at school break times.0 -
DS's laptop was delivered today :j TBH I'm not exactly impressed with the co I ordered it from (centerprise). I was ordered on 30th Jan, received an email minutes after ordering saying the item was in stock and would be delivered on either the 2nd or 3rd Feb. It didn't arrive, phoned on the 4th to find out where it was, the phoned back and said it would be delivered by today, no explanation of why it hadn't been delivered as promised on the 2nd/3rd.
I too am not impressed with Centerprise, same story as above, I ordered 9 days ago recieved same email then nothing, I rang a couple of times to be told there was a software problem & it would be delivered in 2 days, again each time it never arrived.
This is not a company I would recommend, no communication & incorrect info given over the phone.0 -
Seems Centerprise are having some problems!
It's good you've put it on here so people know what they may be letting themselves in for!
Looby - it was the bit about having no accounts on there that I think is pretty bad tbh. These computers are supposed to be fool proof, or as fool proof as a computer could be!
A lot of parents won't have a clue how to set up a user account and it kind of defeats the object of the whole thing to let kids have free reign!
I reckon they are breaking the terms of their agreement by sending them out like that too!0 -
Had my letter returning my Child Benefit letter come today throught the regular post no signing or recorded delivery involved.0

Wow, I feel so lucky that I chose xma to order mine from, it came in 4 days when they said it would be 10, came with Microsoft office installed not open office and all software had been pre installed. Also don't have to put up with those jokers Three as xma supply TMobile dongles.
I'm going to email xma with my thanks for their first rate service. It seems like other places can't be bothered as it's a freebie for people that most likely can't afford to shop with them again.July- coconut body shop body butter, pom bear football, mini johnsons lotion, Sally Hansen nail treatments0 -
My chld benifit letter came back today too, regular post.0

Wonder what that was - registered post then??
I am going to go with XMA too as T mobile have apparently got good reception here & 3 haven't according to thier website.
Thanks for all the hints & tips everyone, please keep posting your experiences xComping again - wins so far : 2 V festival tix, 2 NFL tix, 6 bottles of wine, personalised hand soap, Aussie miracle conditioner

In case it help anyone....
We ordered assistive technology package 1 as DS has special needs.
The grant comes through as normal but the assistive technology "extras" come by special delivery direct. You do not have to order the items yourself if you qualify.0 -
