Should be ok as they need to send the details you supplied to barclaycard for the card to be loaded with the correct figure.

be creful because if you have the prepaid dongle and use it for anything other than education they will reduce your interent time to just 448mb per month. so always have a substitute on hand as I share the laptop with my son and his dongle keeps getting suspended for over use of non educational purposes ( social networking, newspapers, emails, hotmail, anything other than specified websites.. but other than that it is a great idea as mine loves his laptop but hates his prepaid dongle..

my son just got his laptop and prepaid dongle.last week he uses it for some education sights, but mostly he uses it for face book, and msn.how will he know if he gets it reduced to 448mb.

Has anyone on the site applied for one for a disabled child? We do have a laptop in the house with internet access, but my son cant use it and needs a touch screen computer, with the adapted software.

Can we apply for one, even though we already have one that he cannot use?

I phoned them earlier today as was going to promote it through work in isolation of the update today - read that later (I work for a social landlord with 21,000 tenants). They said there were 40,000 forms left but they thought they were going to stop sending the forms out the third week of June. Get in quick folks!

This is NOT available to Home Educators, even if they are on income support or Child Tax Credits and qualify in all other ways.

That's interesting. We took our laptop away with us last week so the older kids could still do some school work as quite a bit is online.
I didn't apply for a dongle as we already have BB and I got a dongle last year when 3 were doing them for about £4.

So I used the 3 dongle we already had and it automatically opened the home access website......

Yet we are told that the laptops have not had any info added/taken from them.....hmmmm.

That comes with 2GB and tbh the operating will struggle with just 1GB if you are using a lot of RAM.
