I still don't understand something... How would they know what I would be spending it on, if its all ready a pre-paid DEBIT card? Would PC world know or something, and tell me that I can't buy it? Hmm... Care to enlighten me?

As said before PC world are not a part of this scheme, so you cannot buy from them.

The company you choose from the approved list of suppliers, only offer certain machines for you to choose from, so you either choose online from their particular website or phone them up and tell them what machine you want from the choices available, so that is how they know what you are ordering. That is how you cannot just pick and choose what items you want or what shop you want to use.

I hope that clears all that up.

I just put stolen property which it must be as I know no self respecting person would sell their children's 'free' educational tool lap top would they?

because they have a 160 GB hard drive, they generally come with a 250 GB if not obtained through this scheme.

No, only received the one, they have the details of our first pc all gone through ok, so sending another is an error and it will be picked up at their end if you tried to apply again (not saying you will ;))

Not to sound ungreatful or anything, seen as its a free grant, but has anyone noticed how grossly over-priced all these bits of hardware are? I mean, a laptop with just 1GB of RAM to run Windows 7 Pro? 1GB? Seriously? For £400+? Same goes for the Dell desktop offer, just a simple Sempron CPU, again, its fine for the software it would be running, I just don't get why they didn't put down the real face-value instead of saying "look, where giving you £500 for free, for something that wouldn't really cost £200."

Again, that was just a rant, I really thought they where handing out £500 laptops :D Its free nether the less, so I wasn't complaining.

Yes if you look back over the pages on this thread you will see that issue mentioned a few times.
Very unfortunate, but as you say, it is free to eligible children so cannot complain.
