Hi, thanks, any ideas how much would be on the debit card? Is there a set ammount? Also, any ideas if we HAVE to spend it on a laptop? Or can I build my little brother a PC from PC world instead?
Also, what stores is it allowed to be spent on? Any specific list? Thanks!
PC world are not involved in the scheme, it is approved retailers only, found here: http://www.homeaccess.org.uk/Computer-and-internet-packages/Find-a-supplier-near-you/Online-and-over-the-phone1/
laptops mainly, and a choice of a couple of desktop pcs from one or two of the suppliers.0 -

The card can only be used against the links that are shown above.
Whatever boxes you tick, the value increases to cover what you have ticked.
No they know how much the items are and that's the value you can spend only on a pc and/or net connection.
If you meet the criteria you should be accepted.0 -
You can't go and buy a 32" LCD TV with the card, no.0

Aww, I see. There are only 3 options if I'm not mistaken, PC, Net or PC+NET. If I selected PC+NET how much would they round up into the card? I want to know this now as I'm browsing the PC world website, just wanted to see what can be done with the money given. Someone here said £600? Is that true?0 -

That would be SOO sweat! But no, thats not what I had in mind. I was hoping to buy other goodies like Printers and Scanners and other misc's like Pen Drives to carry school work around basicly. But not sure if they accept that... Thats why I asked what the purchases are limited too.
Thanks.0 -
I think it is £528 for pc/laptop and net? That rings a bell somehow.
There was a deal of a free printer from one supplier but that ended.
No extras just the pc/laptop and dongle.0 -

I still don't understand something... How would they know what I would be spending it on, if its all ready a pre-paid DEBIT card? Would PC world know or something, and tell me that I can't buy it? Hmm... Care to enlighten me?0 -
O and also, can anyone here PLEASE tell me what stores the card will be limited too? No one seems to know strangly enough :S0

ALL the stores are listed on that page if you look.
I asked for just the computer and got £400 loaded onto a pre paid card, I phoned the company from that list that had the machine I wanted and they took the card details from me, that was it paid for.
The whole process is VERY simple, if you look on the www.homeaccess.org.uk website you will find all you questions answered.0
