Just seen a blatant sale of these laptop packages on ebay. Item 320539402116 even has the person's name as their ebay id and on top of that their location is a sure give away. As someone else has stated Becta can't do anything regarding people selling their freebies

Still think this scheme is a rip off, if you purchase most of these items separately you could get them cheaper or get a more advanced system for your money, and there was Becta supposedly setup to save state bodies and schools money of their purchases.

I have to admit that I was considering putting my sons laptop on eBay but only so that I could use the money to put towards a MacBook for him. I think windows is an awful operating system. I didn't do it though as i figured it'd still take me ages to save that kind of money up.
Maybe some people are selling them on eBay in order to get something better?

Thanks so much for this - I would never have known about it if I hadn't joined this forum.

I rang and was told I was eligible, the paperwork came within 3 weeks, then I received a credit type card to either use in certain stores or to ring an online firm.

I ordered a Samsung laptop with the mobile internet and received it within 24 hours.

Absolutely thrilled to bits, worth £428.
