I to have contacted the scheme about my neighbor selling her sons laptop, they said there was nothing that they could do at all. I said to them that you would thought that the government would of put in a clause stating that the parent selling the laptop would have the money for the laptop deducted straight from there benefits....there was just a long silence, I then contacted the child's school who were appalled but in no position to do anything.
The saddest thing about the system in place is once again its the child who is missing out and if the parent is capalbe of selling their childs laptop what else does that child go without with the money provied for her/him not hers/his parents.0 -
That is bad that they won't do anything. The money I could get for selling our laptop would be handy but there is no way I would do it because a) I'm not dishonest and b) I care about my kids and their education.
To me you may as well just be stealing from your own children since the laptop is theirs so not for the parent to sell.0 -
shame they dont do ipads as well as laptops.0
