Someone had two bottles of cava left over from New Year? a good five day's later???

Speaking of shoppers, on Christmas eve I was in a large (Lakeside) shopping centre in a queue for the cashpoint (inside the Abbey branch) there was one queue for two machines and just as I got to the front and the machine became free, a guy came marching up to the front of the queue and actually pushed me out of the way and jumped in front of the machine- I pointed out, loudly, that there was a queue and he told me it was tough, this was in front of a whole queue of people and a couple of staff members none of whom did anything.

So I called him an idiot and waited for the next machine, I was wound up and then i realised that at least this wasnt my idiot, that was someone's son/sibling/partner/father and they would have to spend Christmas with him. Lucky me that I have a great partner and family members :-)

I have about 20 left over, was expecting the hordes and then illness meant it was only my parents and sister's family. Never mind, we'll carry on enjoying celebrating various occasions... thursday sounds like something that should be celebrated, as does friday... mmm...

Put other people before yourselves for once for crying out loud! It's not hard!

Has anyone ever walked round a shopping centre and decided to walk in a straight line rather than move out the way of every other selfish shopper?
This is not a problem for me. 10 years ago I was so slim I could just slide between them like a ghost and all they would know about it was a faint breeze and a waft of my aftershave. These days I just boof them out of the way with my highly developed beer belly.

Is this thread serious? I thought so at first but then it went ever so slightly off topic. If so take a look at these two threads on this very board. They will surely restore your faith in humanity. (Tip: the second is quite long so, to get the full story, I just read the first page then search for other posts by the original poster).

If these do not make you cry with joy (although they are both sad topics) then I'm afraid you are too far gone in your cynicism for help.

PS: Mine's a malt whisky thanks.

:D Not really. Most of my rant threads are just that...rants. Known to go off topic almost immediately when the kind souls that keep me company in my time of annoyance, arrive.

Never usually too serious in nature, hence the copious use of smilies.;)

I get annoyed at people's unpleasant ways sometimes but a mini rant like this soon sorts me out..........till the next time.;)

Btw....I do like the word 'boof'.....I'm adding that to my vocabulary. :rotfl:
