Hi curly, just to add that when you write a letter of complaint make sure you mention the the examiner said you have to sign it. Whilst the amount allowed is down to discretion and whilst he may not allow it (a higher up person might) stating that you must sign is a clear breach of protocol. Ring and ask for the OR and Assistant OR name. Then when you right mark it addresse only so that no one else in the office may open it.Hi, im Debtinfo, i am an ex insolvency examiner and over the years have personally dealt with thousands of bankruptcy cases.
Please note that any views i put forth are not those of my former employer The Insolvency Service and do not constitute professional advice, you should always seek professional advice before entering insolvency proceedings.0 -

Hiya Curly, I find breaking things down really helps. Maybe start off saying what is you want...1) to complain that you were given incorrect information and pressured into signing the IPA, and 2) that you wish to have the IPA figures reviewed as you believe that they have been unreasonably assessed.
Then give more detail about 1), setting out what was said and what happened as a result. Then the detail about 2) giving a breakdown of your figures and explaining that these are your reasonable needs and there is no alternative.
Hope that helps.0 -
he told me I had to sign the form which I did because he said If I didn't they would sign it for me, and I just dont know what to do..............
WHAT???????????
What bollux.
They can't legally do that. The only way to force an agreement on someone is to go for an IPO through the courts instead.Free/impartial debt advice: National Debtline | StepChange Debt Charity | Find your local CAB

Couldn't agree more. Need to bypass them to get the complaint treated seriously and the situation reviewed fairly.Free/impartial debt advice: National Debtline | StepChange Debt Charity | Find your local CAB
