No it wasn't one from the featured Mums it was one from a member of public. I only wanted to find it because my H has been very ill and he said he liked the look of the pork pie and wanted to try it. Thanks for your help.0

Which episode was it on?0

I saw this, but didn't think it was an available recipe - I think the historian described it as a Cheshire pork pie, and the lady agreed - that may help you google a specific recipe. It had apple in it if I remember rightly.0

I've just re-chcecked the pdf of the publics recipe and it's not there. but if you do a search for "pork pie recipe"s there are a lot to choose from including several from the BBC
Hope that helps

I've just watched it on the i-player. The bit with the pork pie is about 44 mins in. She said it was like a cheshire pie and has apples and bacon in it. I'm surprised that it's not on the pdf as it was one of the featured foods at the fair.0

A word of warning, I followed the recipe on the website for the crumpets (scrummy, had to make two batches lol) but the quantities for the liquid seemed way out which was a pain as it needs to be warmed!I THINK is a whole sentence, not a replacement for I KnowSupermarket Rebel No 19:T0

I am not 100% Sure, but I'm not sure if all the recipes which are just mentioned (rather than featured) are in the book?A little nonsense now and then is relished by the wisest men

Psykicpup - I have the recipe for Crumpets in my copy of the book. Were your crumpets too runny or too dry. Let me know and I can check against the recipe in the book.member # 12 of Skaters Club

Don't know about anyone else, but it's really pi$$ing me off that the recpies are so hard to find. I've bought the book and feel the recipes ought to (all) be in it, but I too would like to try making the pork pie and cannot find the recipeOfficial DFW Nerd No 096 - Proud to have dealt with my debt!0
