Hi Everyone - The cookbook came out this week and my copy arrived from Amazon this morning. £9.99. I think it is a great value treat.member # 12 of Skaters Club

Had a look at the book yesterday in Sainsburys. Lovely book to look at and have already requested it weeks ago for my library.Far too much stuff in there I would never cook such as baking and sunday roasts. Perhaps I will be able to track down the ones I'm interested in on the Interweb and copy them.. I'm thinking the cheese pie for example. What Would Bill Buchanan Do?0

The pink semolina was a bit strange. It reminded me of the picture on this thread http://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/showthread.html?t=2243719&highlight=mechanically+recovered+chicken
I didn't fancy the prawn cocktail they were making. They were very popular in the 70s and my mum used to make them a lot for special occasion. I loved them - as long nas there were no prawns in! (They look too much like maggots). That raisin bread ring with the melted chocolate looked quite nice.0 -
DD has asked me to make the pink semolina & has asked if we can have a go at the Estonian Kringel - The recipes from this week are already printed out and ready to start going through with a fine tooth comb

ZippyChick posted this link earlier so you can get any recipe from the series : http://www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/b00pymg1 I've now printed them all out and will be looking through them to see if I can make them into healthier options, although I'm only just learning so it may take me a while :rotfl:

I have looked through the recipes for that programme and it's not there I don't think! I wish there were pictures.
Can anyone remember this pie please? I am sure they called it a pork pie because they were talking about the jelly inside.0 -
