One episode when to a womans house where her & her mum cooked things. They did a pudding that I thought looked like a Christmas pudding, can't remember what else they did.
Anyone remember the episode?
Is this the right pudding?

I'm going to make it for Xmas pudding as we all find Xmas pudding too dark.
The village hardware shop has Mason Cash pudding bowls on sale & I was looking to see if I needed a 1lb or 2lb one, but when I looked at the ingredients I think I need a 8lb one:eek:
Firstly do you think this is the recipe I'm talking about?
If so will a 2lb pudding bowl do?
Here is the link in case it was one of the other shows

I was really surprised that never made it to the book:(0 -

I can remember someone cooking a Cloutie or clootie dumpling which was so large it was cooked in a pillow case. This was probably in the first episode from Scotland. My granny cooked cloutie dumplings for Chistmas pudding and we also had it fried after Christmas. Could it have been that one?0

I immediately thought of clootie Dumpling too Maltesers!I THINK is a whole sentence, not a replacement for I KnowSupermarket Rebel No 19:T0 -
The dark colour of xmas pud comes from the dark muscovado sugar so why don't you substitute it with lighter brown sugar or even golden syrup for extra flavour?Money is not the root of all evil.
It depends on how you obtain it and how you use it.

Really I thought it was down to richer ingredients:o
See the recipe I've linked too, do you know what size pudding bowl that would need?0
