now elf06 word of warning - once you eat one bit tablet you will not be able to resist the rest! It is scrumdiddlyumptious!!!! Hope it turns out well for you. Unfortunatley as much as I try it is one thing that I cannot make - it always ends up sticking and burning to the bottom of the pan!Every days a School day!0

Thanks for the links MrsE. I've been looking for the recipe for the lemon fudge bars for a while, Hubby is addicted to lemon cakes.
My Mom is a truly terrible cook and couldn't bake a cake if her life depended on it, so no family recipes from her. My godmother makes a mean apple pie, so I might have to go with that. From my recipes I think I would have to go with a lemon cupcake recipe or my chicken stuff thing, which is basically roast dinner leftovers in a tarragon flavoured white sauce, with the leftover gravy added for extra flavour.0 -

My granny use to do chicken friccasi, left over chicken in a creamy white sauce. It was lovely - a Monday dinner.
My granny was real OS. Her meat (& dairy) scrapings when to the cats, her carb scrapings to the chickens, everything else to the pigs. All dry paper & carboard rubbish became firelighters. She wasted nothing.0 -

Hi Mrs E,
As your thread has dropped down the Old Style board and the dates for the new series haven't yet been released, I've added this to the original Hairy Biker's Mum knows best thread to keep the discussion in one place.

Not read the whole thread so apologies if this has been posted already, but today I saw the Mum Knows Best cookbook on The Book People website for £4.99 http://www.thebookpeople.co.uk/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/qs_product_tbp?storeId=10001&catalogId=10051&langId=100&productId=181695

One episode when to a womans house where her & her mum cooked things. They did a pudding that I thought looked like a Christmas pudding, can't remember what else they did.
Anyone remember the episode?
Is this the right pudding?
http://downloads.bbc.co.uk/mumsknowbest/recipefairs/ep3_fiona.pdf
I'm going to make it for Xmas pudding as we all find Xmas pudding too dark.
The village hardware shop has Mason Cash pudding bowls on sale & I was looking to see if I needed a 1lb or 2lb one, but when I looked at the ingredients I think I need a 8lb one:eek:
Firstly do you think this is the recipe I'm talking about?
If so will a 2lb pudding bowl do?
Here is the link in case it was one of the other shows

I was really surprised that never made it to the book:(

It depends on how you obtain it and how you use it.
