Please could someone recommend some cordless straighteners?
I'm going on holiday aboard a diving boat and don't expect I can use my GHDs.
Many thanks

TBH i don't see what all the fuss is about with GHD's - i ahve used them and they aren't that great.
My Andrew collinge ones are far better and cheaper!Friends are angels who lift us to our feet when our wings have trouble remembering how to fly.0 -
i REALLY wanted ghd straighteners but my head beat my heart & i looked for a cheaper alternative.
having read through this thread i decided to go for the babyliss pro 230 and got a fantastic bargain on ebay - the elegance model for £30 (no box).
they arrived last week & i have to say they are fanstastic, do my thick hair just as good as ghd. i have seen plenty of them reasonably priced on ebay so if anyone else just can't justify the spend on ghds i recommend these. they come with a mat & storage pouch too!
hope that helps someone;)0 -

Can I just say before you do purchase your GHD's do some research on the internet on the Babybliss Pro 230
www.amazon.co.uk/BaByliss-2085U-Pro-230%C2%B0C-Straighteners/dp/B000BFN80I
The are cheaper and according to all reviews they are just as good. My GHD have come to the end of their life and I was about to purchase some more when I did a bit of research. I have ordered the amazon ones (cheapest I could get them). They haven't arrived yet, but it maybe worth looking into. Might save you some pounds!0 -
Thanks but they have been highly recommended by my hairdresser. I've got afro hair that has corkscrew curls and although a lot of straighteners will do the job just as well as GHDs they'll literally ruin my hair. As far as I am aware GHDs are the only brand that doesn't have a detrimental effect on black hair!!Third time lucky on WW I hope :j

I got mine from this site online -
http://www.ghds.co.uk/irons.php
It's more expensive than the one you have above but they came next day and I am really happy with them. They have the new style ones for £99 and the ones for thick hair for £95.0
