My gf got hers from her salon too - they have an offer on where if you take in old straightners/curling irons, you get them for £99 (instead of whatever the RRP is)...I'd have thought other salons that use the same supplier may be doing the same deal, so something to think about if you need GHDs in a hurry0

Also if you have an old model GHD, put them on ebay.
My missues had the MK3 model and wanted the MK4 model. I put her MK3 on ebay and sold them for £80 paying for the new MK4 really.
So just because theirs a new model doesn't mean people dont want the old model. Smile, you only get one life, LIVE IT.0 -
My old pair of GHD's broke... they stopped heating after 3.5 years... I sent them back to GHD in their box (emailed them 1st for the address), saying that they had broke and if they would repair them... they sent me a letter back saying that because I didnt have a receipt for them (they were a present) and they were obviously a old model they could not replace them free, but if I wanted a brand new pair, they would replace them for £60.... about 1/2 price.
The moral of the story... if your GHD's have broken send your old straightners back... they may replace them free.... some of my friends had them replaced for nothing... the worse that can happen is you pay 1/2 price for a new pair... not bad if you ask me.0 -
Can I just say before you do purchase your GHD's do some research on the internet on the Babybliss Pro 230
www.amazon.co.uk/BaByliss-2085U-Pro-230%C2%B0C-Straighteners/dp/B000BFN80I
The are cheaper and according to all reviews they are just as good. My GHD have come to the end of their life and I was about to purchase some more when I did a bit of research. I have ordered the amazon ones (cheapest I could get them). They haven't arrived yet, but it maybe worth looking into. Might save you some pounds!
Me Too! Mine arrived yesterday (Amazon £34.99), used them for the first time and they are amazing! My hairdresser uses GHD's and IMO, the Babyliss are on a par if not BETTER!
PLUS I notice that they come with a 5 year warranty!0 -
Got mine yesterday and they are just as good as GHDs.:T0

I know there are thousands but use the search facility to take out all the words that don't suit your search. I got mine years ago on ebay for good price.
Watch out for the sizes, make sure you get the correct ones and not the male ones (thinner) for instance. Also, my friend got soem of the GHD creams, serums with her eBay win and they were just plain liquid.:A:hello: You can't lose what you never had!!
