Well, I've had a reply through my flatmate - she'll discuss it with her when they next meet on Sunday.........:(

That's ages away, the way i'm feeling. Too long to get a 'no' or find out she doesn't like me anyway. :o:(

Wouldn't have the guts to contact her directly, and it might scare her off even more :(

Maybe she'd quite like it if you did contact her yourself? Nothing too full-on, maybe a short text? She'd know then that you are keen to meet up? But I fully understand when you're in the situation it's daunting. Must also be frustrating relying on someone else to act as go-between? I guess try and put it out of your mind till Sunday, but again, easier said...

I have been really low before and not wanted to be around any more on a permanent basis and thought you felt the same. Just me imprinting my fears on to you. Sorry

Exactly the same as me :)
Hope you feel better tonight, if you want to talk, send me a message :)

May I please ask what a CMHT is?

Is it like a GP or CPN?

    I don't have anything like that :o

CMHT is Community Mental Health Team, they have CPNs and psychiatrists there and can assess and get you help that you need. My doctor only put me on anti-depressants, but when I was seen by CMHT they put me on an anti-psychotic and that has really helped me alot. A useful resource if you have one in your area.

Can be hard to get them to help you tho, I was interviewed by them, and even though I told them I was self-harming, they wouldn't help me.

Muffin - Hey and welcome back. Nice to hear from you. I can share some of your experiences. I can trace my depression back to at least when I was 12/13. I remember having a panic attack in school and everyone thought I had asthma!

My doctor put me on sertraline initially, but it didn't really do anything for me. Tried another couple of meds but am now on Citalopram, along with amisulpride (an anti-psychotic) which is the right combination for me. It is just about finding which meds work for you. They really make me feel much more in control.

I also found Stephen Fry's programmes really interesting. I think I have come to terms with the fact that this is the condition I will have for life and there is no 'cure' all I can do is control it the best I can, similar to something like diabetes I suppose. I am glad I don't have the 'manic' part to my depression, tho, I have had some psychotic episodes (hallucinations etc).

Anyway, lovely to hear from you Muffin, looking forward to chatting more and getting to know you.

Evening everyone, how are you all feeling tonight? Sorry I was reading through all todays posts and replying before I posted about my day.

Well, the day was fab. The people are really nice, friendly and laid back. None of the hyper stressed out atmospheres of my previous place. Also I actually got a chance to talk to and play with the children, without being given filthy looks or being told I was 'lazy'!!! (I am a Nursery Nurse btw).

It was really good and I am actually looking forward to going back in tomorrow. I feel tired, but in a good way.

Flis, I can understand what you were saying now I know your a nursery nurse.
I burnt out after a year - the fortnight I did with 5 babies (alone) 7:30am -6pm with half hour lunch nearly killed me - I just left after that.

That must have been horrendous. I was left often with 12 children on my own aged between 2 and 5. The place was horrid, they expected you to do 'jobs' (basically things either a cleaner or the nursery manager should do) all day long and got told off for sitting playing with the children as that was being lazy. I am sorry, but surely that should be the main part of my job!!

Anyway new nursery has a cleaner that comes in, so no more cleaning to be done, and it has a manager who actually does her job, so we don't have to do all the paperwork type stuff.

It is just so much nicer!

That's good news flis - it makes such a difference working somewhere that's not demotivating and sucks the energy out of you.

I have just realised that for just about every year of my life, I have hated late September/early October. It is the most sad and empty time for me.
    An average day in my life:hello: :eek::mad: :coffee::coffee::coffee::T :o :rotfl: :rotfl: :p :eek::mad: :beer:
