blinky wrote:Sorry I haven't been around much over the last few days - it's been hectic.
I have been reading and following what's been said.
I would love to be able to reply to you individually but I don't have the energy, sorry
hmmph
Just some general things:
Depression Alliance and Mind websites may have some links to support groups which may be of use. Hopefully they'll be one to close to you. It does actually help talking to other depressives face to face.
Remember
There is hope
It is worthwhile
Thing will get better but it will take time. There may be setbacks on the way - try not to be disheartened by them.
There is a light at the end of the tunnel, although you might see it at present.
You have a lot to offer the world.
You have been brave coming here and admitting you have a problem. Please take some heart in that.
I am thinking of you all
Seeing 'R' tomorrow night :j so won't be around tomorrow night either.
We worked out we'd only been seeing each other 6 weeks  but it seems like much longer (we were chatting online for a while before that). Yes we are in love....
Awww sooo happy for ya blinky.. even tho we miss you on here.. I'm glad things are working out well for you x☆ §ügÅr cØÅTëÐ pØï§Øn ☆

Thanks Ethel, you know that means a lot to me. I just hope things do continue to go well.Sazbo wrote:Yes, we wanted to hear it:) It's a tough one to square, getting the work balance right - doing something you enjoy, feeling motivated, but not getting exploited or dehumanised. I bascially like my job and the people I work with, but the stress is too much and I'm going to have to call it quits soon. And I know Blinky has similar issues, if not more so. If you have an instinct for the direction you should be going in now, then I'd go with that. Yes, there might be retraining costs, etc, but do the research, call the agency and see how the land lies from there. If it's right, it'll come good for you. Saz x
Bit different for me because if I didn't have as much stress I would enjoy my work. At the moment I have become the 'go to' guy for everything and each time I think I've reduced my workload another couple of big tasks come along to take their place.
Not helped that I'm massively underpaid for the technical skills and responsibility I have.I'm not somebody who is motivated by money either.

got a meeting with my daughters psychiatric team to discuss her ongoing treatment n stuff. She's moving next week from the acute unit to a long term one where she'll be for about 18mths or so, and I should find out what knd of support they can put in place so she can come home a bit more, they said they'd provide a person to come with her so we'll see.☆ §ügÅr cØÅTëÐ pØï§Øn ☆

feelinggood wrote:Evening all.
Quick one from me, just sending you all hugs.
I'm feeling good, feeling confident, and feeling postive.
Had some sad news, a forum member I was resonably close to has passed away, and we had unresolved issues. Never leave anything unsaid.
Thanks for being my family guys, thinking of you all tonight x x x
When my father died, there were things I wanted to say to him too. I wrote them down. I really wished he had answered the phone that day I rang him from Phoenix, Arizona (had a very strange feeling whilst I was there). The last time I spoke to him was on the day of the Golden Jubilee and talking about national service:DAn average day in my life:hello: :mad: :coffee::coffee::coffee::T:rotfl: :rotfl:
:eek::mad: :beer:
I am no expert in property but have lived in many types of homes, in many locations and can only talk from experience.0
