I admire you so much Tiff. You're an amazing person - don't let anyone tell you otherwise - and yes I'm including you in that. You have not embarrassed yourself at all. It is humbling that you give time to worry about my trivial problems when I think of what you've been through in your life and still came out fighting. Bless your heart Tiff. Much love, Sazx

    Hi Saz,
Thank you so much for your kind words. You give me too much credit angel.
Your problems are not trivial in any way hun - I just wish I could make it all go away for you and everyone else. This thread has helped me and your kindness has been invaluable to me and to our other friends. You're a precious asset here Sazzy - don't ever doubt it!

Thank you everyone for being so welcoming. I was feeling much better when I woke up this morning, but since then I've been trying to prepare some work for next week and have gone really sad and weepy. I think that changing jobs to one where I could just switch off when I leave the office and not have to bring work home with me would help. Or am I jut fooling myself??????

Part of my problem is that I am really upset about work at the moment, but can't think of any other job I could do. So it feel really hopeless and like there is no solution.

I'm still in bed!! :shhh: Isn't wireless internet a wonderful thing?! :rotfl: Ahem, but I am getting up in a minute, honest guv. Besides, Saz is gasping for a cuppa :D Think the accumlated stress and pressure of the past few days finally caught up with me. Can you believe it though - I slept like a log last night! Didn't wake up once. Wow, sleep's great, innit?

Hope this finds you all well. Have a good weekend peeps! :hello:

    Much love,

Sleepy - you are not fooling yourself at all. Not being able to maintain a boundary between work life and home life can be a major factor in depression. So understandable it feels a bit hopeless at the moment, but there are bound to be solutions out there. Have a bit of a think about your skills and other equivalent jobs where you could utilise them, or else if they are transferable to a different sector. There a a number of good career advice websites, if you do a bit of Googling, where you can do online questionnaires to assess what you might be suitable for career-wise, or to help guide you through making a career change. That might give you a few ideas, or at least start you off thinking around the subject. Best of luck, Saz x

It makes it even more confusing ........?

Going with the nice feeling while it lasts but making sure I don't get hurt

And big hugs back to you, CCStar. Really happy to hear you had a good evening, do understand you being on guard about getting hurt - but let's hope the nice feeling continues. Sxx

Thanks. I think the problem is that my career may be the best one for me. It's my workplace that is a problem. Hopefully if I can manage my time better so I don't have to bring so much work home, and change who I'm working with it will all get a bit better. I've tried other jobs before, where you leave work at the office, but it felt so montonous and pointless that I deliberately swapped to my current career for some creativity! Talk about the grass always being greener :o

If I go to the doctors for help, and get diagnosed with depression or any other "mental illness" (I really hate that phrase for some reason), would I have to tell employers when I went for a job interview?

I really don't want to end up with people thinking of me as the crazy one, or the one that can't cope.

Also, sorry to be unburdening myself so much on here, how do I stop it effecting my fiance? I don't want to be a pain and cause him any trouble. We live together and he had to spend hours last night calming me down.

I don't want him to get fed up with me because I'm more work than a "normal" girlfriend.
