    Try and relax and not worry so much. If she cancels, it isn't you. She has some MAJOR issues. You have done your best and your flatmate sounds like a rock.

    You never know, she might turn up and really like you. Try not to assume the worst, hard tho' it is hard to do - I am guilty of thinking the worst too.

    Hi gil - no, I think you're someone who's possibly in a lot of pain and need to talk or some help but are scared to make that first step hun. I'm probably a thousand miles off course so sorry if I've got that wrong - I just get the feeling that you want to open up but can't quite bring yourself to make that first huge step. Some people just don't handle alcohol well either physically or mentally. It's a great hiding place people think but they don't see it for the trap it is. You can tell Tiff to shut up now! ;)

    Well, we both have similar issues, which she has acknowledged, so that's good?

She's stopped smoking, her drinking is now almost non-existant, and she now stays away from clubs where men try it on and prefers to go for meals when she has money........whch is usually gone a few days after she is paid :(

    Poor thing, has so little, I just hope she accepts me :o

    Sorry for going on, i'm really scared :o

    Anyway, bed for me, if I can sleep :o

    You are so sweet (I mean that in a complimentary way), nice is also good. If she can trust and talk about them, you will both be able to help each other. She may get a bit hot and cold on you but it is her insecurity doing it.

    That is good if she is changing her lifestyle, maybe she will see what a decent bloke you are.

    6 ft 9 in is very tall but I would see that as an advantage. I would feel very protected being with a person like that.
