I agree you should not be saying the company you work for is better than anybody elses at the `end of the day` you are in it to make money not for health issues I went to one of the classes lost 3 stone was encouraged to buy lessons in bulk as it was cheaper got to my target weight found I had all these vouchers and the slimming company would not exchange/refund me they didnt want to know I picked up a newspaper in the bus yesterday a red top I dont buy them to be honest but found a coupon for weightwatchers for free meeting and free registration so it may be in other `red tops` you could look in library for older papers.:D

Obviously WW does work but it costs and this site is all about saving money. There is a virtually free alternative with no charges, no meetings, no measuring and which also has the benefit that you will not put on weight afterwards.
Firstly I have no connection whatsoever with any organisation, site or whatsoever named - my wife was/is a satisfied weight loser a long time ago and has kept the weight off. It has also reduced our weekly food bill.
First go to the Daily Mail site and do a search for Dukan Diet. There were three articles about last April which you can print and give you as much informatiojmn as you need. You will need to go into the Dukan.com website (free) for advice on how much to lose and how long the first three stages are; (they charge for other services).
The diet is in 4 stages - the first is a couple of days of unlimited quantities of limited types of food - normal supermarket stuff. The second stage adds a different class of foods, the third expands even that and the fourth covers the rest of your life but with restrictions on one day a week. I am told it is a bit like the Atkins Diet and it has been approved by our GP
The book is unnecessary but you will need Oat Bran (from supermarkets) in small quantities and also water (ex tap) in larger quantities.
My wife lost nearly 20% of her bodyweight in two months (faster than Dukan expected) and has kept it off despite food and wine at Christmas, holidays etc.
It works for her and other family members.

Just to check - are you talking about the Weight Watchers online membership deal? If so, you can't go to classes at the same time. I joined 2 weeks ago on the online membership and actually I have found it really good. The people on the forums are really supportive so it's easy to stay motivated (well I found it was anyway!). If you want to go to classes as well you have to buy a monthly pass instead of signing up for the online offer - this allows you to go to meetings and access most of the online things, but it costs £12.99 a month for the first month then £19.99 a month after that. The online only membership is £10.99 a month after the 3 months free offer (with £29.95 joining fee).

I've just discovered a way of getting Weight Watchers online for less. Sign up for Monthly Pass (£12.95 for the first month) where you get online access plus the facility to attend meetings (if you wish!). After the first month, instead of paying the subsequent monthly payments of £20.95, swap over to esource at £15.00 for 3 months instead. This won't cover meetings but if the whole idea was to do the diet online, it costs a lot less than doing it online from the beginning. Esource was originally intended as an online backup for class attenders but there is nothing to stop anyone from joining this way. Probably a good idea to go to the first meeting (or even for a month) to get the gist, then do it online after that.

Well worth a visit to your GP, you can also get free gym passes.

It seems to depend on where you live - my exercise on prescription only offers a very small reduction on the normal fees unfortunately and so I still cannot afford to go to that and have just joined WW on the monthly pass (works out at £2.99 per week for first month) going to go there for a month and then use the nurse at my local practice to weigh me and keep me on track.

Agree it is worth seeing what you can get in your area though before shelling out yourself - after all you might be one of the lucky ones who can get freebies!

Also there was a register for free coupon on the site last week if you want to do the classes and often are in the press too so worth looking for these!
