Postcode Checker says RH10 is eligible for 3 payments up to 12th January, received 1 in December & presuming the other 2 are held up in the post which isn't being delivered because of the weather!

Are some people receiving their payments straight into their account??
I got 2 last winter & plus 1 this winter but despite my other benefits being paid direct into my account these cold weather payments came as cheques that I had to cash at the Post Office. I'd prefer they went straight into my account.

I would contact your local social security office - I did but am concerned that I was told that payments to people on disability is being held up - is this the same for all on disability?????

Hi Mea, I'm on IS and DLA [Low mobility & Middle Care] and I've had all four* payments, paid directly to my bank acc, no problem.

    * They were paid in 2 batches of £50 each; first on the 6th Jan, second on the 13th Jan.

i am unemployed for a year now claiming housing beneifits an jsa

Are you on income based JSA and also satisfy the qualifying elements?

    As follows

You may also be eligible for a Cold Weather Payment for each qualifying week if you are getting Income Support, income-based Jobseeker’s Allowance or income-related Employment and Support Allowance in the assessment phase and have one of the following:
    • a pensioner premium, higher pensioner premium or enhanced pensioner premium
    • a disability premium, enhanced disability premium or severe disability premium
    • a disabled child premium
    • Child Tax Credit that includes a disability or severe disability element
    • a child who is under five in the family
We made it! All three boys have graduated, it's been hard work but it shows there is a possibility of a chance of normal (ish) life after a diagnosis (or two) of ASD. It's not been the easiest route but I am so glad I ignored everything and everyone and did my own therapies with them.
Eldests' EDS diagnosis 4.5.10, mine 13.1.11 eekk - now having fun and games as a wheelchair user.

BB, no idea why some people (like myself) are getting theirs direct into the bank and others are getting cheques sent. Maybe it's just the way your local area work, I don't know.

Get [sexy voiced] Geoff on the case, he'll soon find out the discrepancies in payments. :rotfl:

Seriously though, it does seem a bit weird. Surely it would be easier/cheaper to issue payments direct to the bank acc [for those who get their benefits paid into the bank] rather than posting cheques?

Thanks Lou76!! Totally agree it would be easier/cheaper to pay direct into bank account; especially as Postman Pat is snowed in!! Lol!!

    P.S. Who's Geoff??
