    Who is eligible?

You may be eligible for a Cold Weather Payment for each week of very cold weather in your area if you get Pension Credit or income-related Employment and Support Allowance with a support or work related activity component in the main phase. You may also be eligible for a Cold Weather Payment for each qualifying week if you are getting Income Support, income-based Jobseeker’s Allowance or income-related Employment and Support Allowance in the assessment phase and have one of the following:
    • a pensioner premium, higher pensioner premium or enhanced pensioner premium
    • a disability premium, enhanced disability premium or severe disability premium
    • a disabled child premium
    • Child Tax Credit that includes a disability or severe disability element
    • a child who is under five in the family

That's fine, I was expecting that anyway because it says it's normally paid in automatically to people who qualify :)

maggie, it isnt paid on dla unless you get a disability premium its not paid for i/b, the postcode checker doesnt show whos entitled, it just shows what areas qualify for the cwp payment.

Hi geoff the cwp was triggered for our area reading the information on who is eligible am i right in thinking that we are eligible because my son is disabled ???? my wif rang the job centre they wr not very helpful infact very rude to her , they told her that we wernt eligible because she doesnt claim any benefits for her self , which is silly really because she cant claim job seekers or income support because how can she claim job seekers this makes her activly seeking work but she can not work because my son needs her ??????? thnks geoff
