  • its not only incap but all non means tested benefits ie cb jsa state pension

I got Incapacity Benefit in 2006 due to my National Insurance Contributions ie work related

If I had not paid enough NIC I would have got Income Support only

Now that the name has been changed I cannot have the CWP - which is just ridiculous
  • i have a child under five and get the disability premium.

  • Hello
I have checked on the cold weather payment site and it appears that there should have been 3 payments between Nov 1 and yesterday 12 Jan 10. We have only had one, why not the other two?
    Thanks

ou may be eligible for a Cold Weather Payment for each week of very cold weather in your area if you get Pension Credit or income-related Employment and Support Allowance with a support or work related activity component in the main phase. You may also be eligible for a Cold Weather Payment for each qualifying week if you are getting Income Support, income-based Jobseeker’s Allowance or income-related Employment and Support Allowance in the assessment phase and have one of the following:
    • a pensioner premium, higher pensioner premium or enhanced pensioner premium
    • a disability premium, enhanced disability premium or severe disability premium
    • a disabled child premium
    • Child Tax Credit that includes a disability or severe disability element
    • a child who is under five in the family

They could have been triggered recently and in the pipeline to being paid very soon.
We made it! All three boys have graduated, it's been hard work but it shows there is a possibility of a chance of normal (ish) life after a diagnosis (or two) of ASD. It's not been the easiest route but I am so glad I ignored everything and everyone and did my own therapies with them.
Eldests' EDS diagnosis 4.5.10, mine 13.1.11 eekk - now having fun and games as a wheelchair user.

it depends on what dates the last two were triggered on as to when youll get them, for instance my last trigger was jan 4th and its just gone in my bank today.

it says I am eligible for 3 payments, but i have just checked my bank stats and there is no payments showing at all.

I've had a look at the Govt site but it does not mention IncapcityBenefit. Do people on that qualify ?
    im afraid not.

I'm on income support. Have been told I'm not going to receive any help with winter payouts as I dont have a child under 5. I do have two seven yr old twins. an 18yr daughter with epilepsy. a friend on the same benefit as myself also claiming for 2 independent children also struggleing £150 a wk and also putting £30+ a wk into a gas meter is receiving the winter payout! because one of her children is under 5......hello??? do my children NOT feel the cold at 7 as they would at 5 or under?. also if it is 1c my heating is on as much as it would be at -1c. I urge the gov to have a re-think on how the system is worked out.

At 7 kids should be at school, under 5 they won't be, if they aren't home they don't need heating on
