    Hi Sue, hope your well.;)

My sister lives just a few streets from me and said she checked her account and have already received the 3 one, and said she will keep a check on the 4th one, I told her me and others on here have not even received the first one yet.........

Will keep a check on your posts Sue, hope this is sorted out for you.;)

    Not too bad thanks...you?

The children have been complaining of being cold tonight, heating has gone on again (will worry about the scary gas monster in the morning :rotfl:) but it is still fairly cold in here.

But we spent a lovely warm afternoon/early evening at my parents where quilts on the sofa and jumpers on the body were not required...probably why we are all feeling colder tonight though.

Will keep an eye on your posts too, we will probably get the payments through at the same ish time..and it will be straight down to the shop to get lots of lovely gas for the machine.
We made it! All three boys have graduated, it's been hard work but it shows there is a possibility of a chance of normal (ish) life after a diagnosis (or two) of ASD. It's not been the easiest route but I am so glad I ignored everything and everyone and did my own therapies with them.
Eldests' EDS diagnosis 4.5.10, mine 13.1.11 eekk - now having fun and games as a wheelchair user.

still not had anything thru, carer premium IS and 3 kids with disabilities but only one claimed for as this gets what she needs, and can cope on the remainder just about, but getting frantic about heating now, thank god it warmed up a few degrees.

    who do I call?

    Hi there.

    Good luck with this.
I take it like my account anything that is due in for the Monday shows up in the account on the Sunday?

Check it again in the morning just in case, fingers crossed.;)

  • Hi, I have just checked the Post Code checker and apparently I am entitled to two cold weather payments for NR21 from 1 November 2009 to 10 January 2010. I receive the higher rate DLA in both mobility and care. According to your info, I need do nothing to claim this as it should be automaticially paid. I appreciate the recent cold weather payment will not be due until it gets warmer, but am I due a payment for November?

Do you get Income support, JSA or ESA?
CWP criteria is more than just DLA.

my last trigger date was 4th jan, just rang income support who told me it will be in the bank on the 13th, so thats the timescale for my area.
  • :confused:I phoned the disability helpline today and they say that as i am on Ir esa, i should be able to get the cold weather payment. in my area there should have been 3 payments so far and ive had none.
  • I have been on Incapacity Benefit since October 2006

Now it appears that because they changed the name to ESA (employment based) I don't qualify for the Cold Weather payment, even though when I started Incapacity Benefit it was due to my NIC being up to date.

So just because they changed the name and I am still called by the old name I can't have the payment

I also have DLA Higher Rate of Mobility (as a vehicle) and Lower Rate of Care

typical that change a name same thing but you done get a cwp, dla doesnt come into it though it is not one of the qualifying benefits, unless you get a disability premium or severe disability premium:confused: then you qualify
