Hello there
This is probably the first of the three payments owed.
Glad you received it though and others should follow on into your account in due course.
Some of us are still also waiting for the first payment which kicked off as from November 09, for instance we are owed 4 and still waiting, been confirmed it should be in the account by Monday the latest, fingers crossed.
Keep an eye on your account for the others.;)The one and only "Dizzy Di"0 -

Well after hours of searching for info about this CWP I have come to the conclusion I wasted my time applying for WFTC because I work instead of Pension Credit as my husband is over 60 and has retired due to ill health. We would have had the same amount of money regardless of which we applied for, but now we would also have received 3 CWP (an added bonus) if we had had gone down the Pension Credit route - go figure!!!0

My postcode says 4 periods, I have received 1, letter said it was for 18-25 Dec, so according to my calculations:
1st (received) 18-25 Dec
2nd (Awaiting) 26-1st Jan
3rd (Awaiting) 2-8th Jan
4th ?
This means I should have had one for before 18-25th Dec (to fit 4 in) that hasn't been paid, I have rang the JCplus twice to be told if you've had one the rest will follow, they can't grasp the fact that the 1st one must be missing.AKA: PC

Hi there
unless I got this wrong, but with me its as from the 1 November 09 as below.;)
The Met Office have notified the Department for Work and Pensions that 4 periods of very cold weather have occurred in the NP44 postcode area between 1 November 2009 and 8 January 2010, triggering Cold Weather Payments.
If you have qualified for Cold Weather Payments since 1 November 2009 and live in this postcode area, you are due to receive 4 Cold Weather PaymentsThe one and only "Dizzy Di"0
