    Hi there

unless I got this wrong, but with me its as from the 1 November 09 as below.;)

The Met Office have notified the Department for Work and Pensions that 4 periods of very cold weather have occurred in the NP44 postcode area between 1 November 2009 and 8 January 2010, triggering Cold Weather Payments.
If you have qualified for Cold Weather Payments since 1 November 2009 and live in this postcode area, you are due to receive 4 Cold Weather Payments
the 1st of november 2009 is when they start to make payments till the 31st of march 20010 no payments were triggered in november the 1st payments of winter 2009/10 was the 18th december 2009.

the forth could be a forcast for next week.

Pressing DirectGov link says due 3 cwp, but the other link says 2.
To date I've only had one payment.
I'm so happy to receive this. The week before Christmas I had to shut the curtains all day to keep the heat in. I was under the duvet in the living room. I had only 2.12 pence left in electricity and was in Emergency gas. I was wondering if I could manage to heat a tin of beans and still have some electricity. This situation lasted until Christmas eve when my next Income Support came. I've been checking on elderly and disabled neighbours in our street - particularly as it was sheet ice on the pavements.
Let's hope the payments kick in soon, because there's another nine days till the next I.S.

Arh I see, thanks for clarifying on this.;)

Although not received the 1st one yet, they confirm its being sorted out as it should have been with us over a week back, hopefully in the account by this coming Monday, fingers crossed.

Do you qualify for CWP, do you get Income support or jobseekers allowance?

;) I'm getting sloppy, maybe it would be easier if people actually read the criteria.

So do you think this might be easier :D;)

To get CWP you must be getting the following:

IS (Income support) and have a child under 5
IS (Income support) and CTC (child tax credits) with a disability premium/severe disability premium
IS (Income support) and Incapacity benefit with a disability premium/enchanced disability premium or severe disability premium.

    PC (Pension Credit)

IB JSA (Income based Jobseekers allowance) and have a child under 5.
IB JSA (Income based Jobseekers allowance) and CTC (child tax credits) with a disability premium/severe disability premium.
IB JSA (Income based Jobseekers allowance) and a disability premium/enchanced disability premium or severe disability premium.

IR ESA (Income-related Employment and Support Allowance) with a support or work related activity component in the main phase and have a child under 5.
IR ESA (Income-related Employment and Support Allowance) with a support or work related activity component in the main phase and CTC (child tax credits) with a disability premium/severe disability premium.
IR ESA (Income-related Employment and Support Allowance) with a support or work related activity component in the main phase and a disability premium/enchanced disability premium or severe disability premium.

At the moment the only group of benefit claimants who are having problems getting an automatic payment of CWP are
IS (Income support) and CTC (child tax credits) with a disability premium/severe disability premium.

Why not ask the JCP politely when you should expect to receive a payment?
    Gone ... or have I?
  • I am very polite and patient, but youve never called my job centre. LOL. Have learnt to get all the facts first so I know to be persistent, otherwise they say all sorts of rubbish at me. lol
