Just because your having to ask the same thing over and over again ;)
So do you think this might be easier :D;)

To get CWP you must be getting the following:

IS (Income support) and have a child under 5
IS (Income support) and CTC (child tax credits) with a disability premium/severe disability premium
IS (Income support) and Incapacity benefit with a disability premium/enchanced disability premium or severe disability premium.

    PC (Pension Credit)

IB JSA (Income based Jobseekers allowance) and have a child under 5.
IB JSA (Income based Jobseekers allowance) and CTC (child tax credits) with a disability premium/severe disability premium.
IB JSA (Income based Jobseekers allowance) and a disability premium/enchanced disability premium or severe disability premium.

IR ESA (Income-related Employment and Support Allowance) with a support or work related activity component in the main phase and have a child under 5.
IR ESA (Income-related Employment and Support Allowance) with a support or work related activity component in the main phase and CTC (child tax credits) with a disability premium/severe disability premium.
IR ESA (Income-related Employment and Support Allowance) with a support or work related activity component in the main phase and a disability premium/enchanced disability premium or severe disability premium.

At the moment the only group of benefit claimants who are having problems getting an automatic payment of CWP are
IS (Income support) and CTC (child tax credits) with a disability premium/severe disability premium.

So lets get this right-if your on Basic state Pension, and have just enough small private pension to take you over the "Pension Credit" limit, you dont get "Pension Credit" or Cold Weather Payments? But if youve never paid a Penny in NI contributions, You Get Both?, So your £25 PW Better off? Surely not.
  • Hi, I have just been watching the news about the cold weather payments. I decided I would look it up. Its seems that we are entitled to it for the disabled child factor, yet we have not received any.

We have one child with High rate care DLA and one with Middle rate care and both childre have the disability factor of Child Tax Credit

do you get income support or jsa
  • No, Richard, we dont get ISA or JSA, but have seen on the DWP website that we may be entitled. I have also spoken to someone this morning in the DWP DLA department and they think we can get it.

The problem is who do we contact?

I think the child needs to be under 5 and not 5.
We made it! All three boys have graduated, it's been hard work but it shows there is a possibility of a chance of normal (ish) life after a diagnosis (or two) of ASD. It's not been the easiest route but I am so glad I ignored everything and everyone and did my own therapies with them.
Eldests' EDS diagnosis 4.5.10, mine 13.1.11 eekk - now having fun and games as a wheelchair user.

    Hi

I am on income support with disability premium, and I have not recieved any cold weather payments at all this winter. My flat only has a real fire and it is a nightmare to keep warm unless I sit right next to the real fire 24/7. Any advice would be more than welcome please.

    Kind regards

    Simesy
