    Hello again :)

Well, lots of snow here, now.

The girls are happy as they love the snow. Youngest suggested 'home-school' should be shut because of it :D:rotfl:

    Doesn't quite work that way.

The girls have worked quite well this morning, actually and now they're busy watching the latest Naruto Japanese manga DVD, which postie delivered today. He must be freezing, doing his round, but at least he didn't give up and the girls got their DVD.

My joints are still quite stiff, although I have rubbed some gel in, which helps, but the painkillers aren't really touching the main areas.

Taplady, hope your DS gets home ok xx

Going to have a look round mse whilst the girls are occupied, then we've a grammar session to fit in this afternoon :)

    Take care all.

Have promised the kids i will go out and make a snowman later with them and i have to dig the sledge out.

I miss not being able to do stuff like that with the girls.

At least they don't mind waiting until their friends get back from school. The schools haven't been shut here, yet, which is good as the girls probably would have moaned about doing some work :D

Hope you have a nice time, anyway :)

Snow starting here too. My son was sacked today so is gutted and in tears at the unfairness of the situation. He has been calling himself which I hate - he has such low self-esteem. I tried to be positive but its a kick in the teeth.

I hope you all keeping safe and warm x
I must not fear. Fear is the mind-killer.
Fear is the little-death that brings total obliteration.
I will face my fear. I will permit it to pass over and through me. When it has gone past I will turn the inner eye to see its path.
When the fear has gone there will be nothing. Only I will remain.
  • Molly - HUGS to your son. x
  • Oh Holly,
Hugs for your ds, was it in anyway unfair dismissal?

Molly - why has he been sacked? Have they given him a reason? What has he done to require instant dismissal rather than written warnings procedure? Hugs to you both xxx

Taplady - glad your son is on his way home.

Bargainbird - no snowman made yet ;)

Redruby - -9 degrees - times like that I wish we still had our PT Cruiser with heated seats :D

Went for a walk with kids and H over the local fields. Snowing eased over lunchtime but is now going again albeit very fine flakes. Had nearly 2 inches which isn't that much in the scheme of things. Still am not complaining. Mind you do feel a bit :o since I am at home and in a position to enjoy the weather from the comfort of my living room - I do feel sorry for those of you who have to go out and about.
My mum has told my dad who works in Perry Barr (otherside of Brum to us) to go and get some food and not to leave work on time - she doesn't see the point of him sitting in gridlock for hours on end and knowing what the city centre roads were like the last time no one will be going anywhere! She'd rather he stayed in the office where it's nice and warm and has toilet facilities :rotfl:
All being well might take DS sledging tomorrow, we took him around this time last year when we had loads of snow and he loved it :T I am glad H booked this week of work otherwise he'd be missing all this.

Wrap up warm everyone and stay safe.
