Morning all...........((((((((((((((((((((HUGS)))))))))))))))0 if you need one.

A slight fall of snow last night , we are forecast a heavy fall at 10am, watch this space. We do not have to go out today, just hope it does not hinder OH's appointment tomorrow....I will be devastated if its put off.

I have the fire on in the lounge as well as the heating, the thermometer was showing 55o when we came down, I have also turned the boiler up, if this weather continues I will have to leave the boiler on all night again, cannot stand coming down to the cold. I have a halogen heater for the kitchen, its the coldest room in the house and has a large patio door as well as a window in it.

Bathroom to be cleaned this morning and then I need to clean and service the machine I collected from DD2's yesterday. I am expecting it to be linted up round the bobbin area.

No need to go out at all, plenty of stuff in the freezer. Will put the bread maker on for a loaf.

Beef stew to cook for tomorrows supper, I like it to stand overnight, allow the flavours to develop. So pressure cooker to the fore again today.

Off for coffee and to get on, see y'all later.

OS going here, DW and WM on. Snow meant the school bus didn't turn up, so ds came home and is now on his way to the park with local friends from several schools/colleges. My workplace (college) is closed today, but it's not my day to be in. Still got plenty of clearing up to do here and also sewing dd's new dance kit. DH on the other side of the country but managed to get to work as there is only light snow there.

    Hi Guys,
Its very cold here too. A very slow start for me as i have hurt my back as well as being very unsteady makes for a very strange gait today!

I have also been subject to Blue Badge abuse and had an old woman shake her fists at me and had several oldies question my need for a BB whilst sitting in my car. You should see their faces when I stumble out of my car and practically fall on top of them. They disappear sharpish. Well done Jackie for holding your tongue. Kids Dad has lost it a couple of times when I have been questioned!!!

Im dreading today as DS has his interview and I think he will lose his job. I was trying to prepare him for the worst last night. It will be a salient lesson in life but not really fair. My DD is also quite down in the dumps but i think its the early starts and cold weather.

Well the WM is on and doggies are walked so Im going to struggle upstairs and get dressed. Wish me luck.
    Hugs

I must not fear. Fear is the mind-killer.
Fear is the little-death that brings total obliteration.
I will face my fear. I will permit it to pass over and through me. When it has gone past I will turn the inner eye to see its path.
When the fear has gone there will be nothing. Only I will remain.

It's snowing in Worcester:j:snow_laug:snow_grin I like snow. Maybe it'll be bad enough to get out of the swimming run:D

Edit: sorry Taplady :o, I see you're not looking forward to it.

    Morning everyone.
Just had an orange muffin with raspberry jam and a VERY large coffee. Feeling satisfied at the mo :D
It's very very cold here but only a few tiny flakes of snow so far. BBC weather reckons we're only going to have light snow showers but judging by others comments the whole country is on alert. What's the betting the West Mids will be the only county to miss out :rotfl: Can you tell I REALLY want to go sledging :o
Got to strain off my chicken stock that was on all yesterday and overnight. Looking forward to my first chicken soup for lunch :T
Not much going on here, trying to aim for a NSD but with H home who knows what will happen :o
Mountain of ironing to tackle, will do this when DS is at nursery and when DD is sleeping.
No idea what's for tea tonight - perhaps spag bol would be a good idea and use up some more mince.
Our boiler has a function whereby if the temp is too low the heating comes on low automatically. I am dreading our bill next quarter, we've had to keep it on for the kids overnight during December and with it being on low it's just going to push up the cost of our monthly DD's :(

Diva - your cake sounds yummy - receipe please??

JC - you're right to try and not worry, won't accomplish anything other than to make you miserable. Hugs xx

Celyn - Hugs to you, hope the end is in sight for you and your OH xx

Jackie - :rotfl: at that bloke making a twit of himself. Shame on him for not apologising properly. Now I am not one for domestic violence for either sex but could just picture his wife giving him a right good clout. Well done on another year of remission :T

Sunnygirl - hugs to you and the family still xx

hugs to those that need them. Have a good day OS or not.

    Morning all :)

It's a cold one here, too. No snow, but very very cold.

Thankfully, we aren't going anywhere today, especially as my joints are very achey. I'm sure the cold weather has a part to play in that, though.

I managed to get shopping done yesterday, so need to go and update figures on the grocery challenge, and I also made the butternut squash and pear soup. It turned out ok. Not as delicious as it looked on the CDWM programme, but something I would make again. DDs wouldn't try it, so I have some for lunch today, and I have frozen some.

Tonight's dinner is another CDWM recipe of chicken in breadcrumbs, with mozzarella. I will need DDs to bash the chicken, but they will enjoy that. I can get them to pretend it's someone who annoys them - as long as tey don't pick me :D

The house clean is underway, so lots of wet bed sheets about today, but hopefully wont take days to dry, seeing as though we need the heat in the house right now.

Girls are back to working today, cue lots of moans and groans  However, I prepared the work for them the other day, and can mostly leave them to get on with it. They also need to go through their Japanese so that they haven't forgotten anything.

What an awful experience for you yesterday Jackie, with regards the man in the car park. I haven't had any bad experiences when I've use my BB, but something like that would really upset me. I hope it taught him a lesson.

Have a good day all, and take care if you are out and about.

((((UGS)))) to those who need them.

    Pipkin xxxx

We finally managed to get back home on Sunday having been away over Xmas and New Year at our parents. We have still got loads of snow, but not much fell last night. I need to go grit the road in a minute, we live at the bottom of a hill and getting out is a nightmare. I ended up walking to Tescos and just buying the basics, I was really tired last night I must have walked about 7miles with the school run (half of it up a steep hill). I'm hoping to get the car out tomorrow.

I cooked a bacon joint in the slow cooker yesterday so dinner tonight will be left overs. I managed to get the Xmas tree down yesterday and am supposed to be tidying up. We have loads of stuff that I haven't managed to unpack yet. I have however put a couple of things on Freegle. My next job is to sort out the food cupboard, as I want to run it down (and I can't find anything in it!:o)
I also want to find a new quilting project as for once I don't have any sewing to do.

My parents were supposed to be going on holiday this morning, but they got to Liverpool airport to find no flights were going out:mad:. I hope they manage to get out soon as they could do with a holiday.

I'd best go get some work done!

Are the trains still running taplady?

It's not that far from the college to the station, although up hill.

Hope something can be arranged xx
