Taplady I hope your son manages to get home xx
thanks - hopefully someone is collecting them and taking them to their home, we may be able to collect him later but if not they can stop overnight. Wont be happy till he's home. The roads are chaotic in this area.
I'll willingly give you all our snow!:DDo what you love :happyhear0 -
Well we have tons of snow here now, its no longer called sunny Sheffield but snowy Sheffield lol, its still snowing heavilly so we might get snowed in
DH set off to work really early this morning and managed to get there ok but plenty of others haven`t, the busses are off and the trams are struggling due to abandoned cars on the tracks so i have no idea if DH will be able to get home, hopefully the cars will have been towed later. The tram wouldn`t bring him home but would take him part of the way so that he could walk the rest.
The houndies have been walked and i went back out after bringing them home to find the ball that the younger houndie lost. I wasn`t sure if i`d find it or not but was pleased when i did, it gets expensive when she loses them as we get through quite a lot
I`ve cleared the bird bath and bird table and made another makeshift table so the garden is now full of birds filling their beaks to their hearts content, i`ve put extra suet pellets and raisins out alongside the usual nuts and seed so they should have plenty to go at.
Managed to cleared some paths and checked on a neighbour further down the road so i`m slowly thawing out now, i shall probably spend quite a bit of time in the kitchen later as i can only do one thing at a time with the limited space but i need to get some meals ready in advance as i have a run of long shifts coming up and won`t manage to get sorted otherwise.
Snow so far is about 6 inches and counting so i shall be looking out of my kitchen window on a very pretty view whilst i`m busy.
((((HUGS))) to Jackie
Taplady - Hope things get sorted at your end.
((((HUGS)))) to all, keep warm.

Hi there
Well next to no snow here in Dumfriesshire but they have closed the schools and awaiting to hear what is happening tomorrow with them......Not sure my boss will be amused if they are still off!!!
Can't seem to motivate myself and the kids want a "Jammy day" they are just like me and love to be comfy at home.
Today really need to catch up on the laundry but nothing is drying at the min. Had defrosted a shephards pie last nite thinking I would be at work so will need to use that up.
Oh well here goes for a long day lolAlthough I get lonely  as a single mother there are always two smiling angels ready to give me the biggest hug in the world. Love you babies :grouphug:

Not snowing here, but freezing. Did snow for about half an hour this morning, but not settling type snow.
My new fridge freezer has finally arrived, yippee! Been advised not to plug it in for 12 hours, but at least it is finally here. Filled up the delivery guy's flask with coffee!
Had a friend come round for coffee and a catch up, so that was nice. Put the world to rights as you do! She has now gone, so having quick lunch as I was starving. Starting slimming world diet today, so need to get a bit organised!
Have a good day all, and take care in the snow.0 -

I'm waiting for my appointment due to my asthma - may be next month :eek:Ladyshopper wrote: »...My new fridge freezer has finally arrived, yippee! Been advised not to plug it in for 12 hours, but at least it is finally here. Filled up the delivery guy's flask with coffee!
That was good of you - wonder how many other recipients of his deliveries would think of it?!
Well snow is lying a couple of inches thick in the famous Lancashire Coastal resort - it started about 7.15 this morning and has only just eased. Just waiting to hear what is to happen in our office...0 -
Lots of snow here - it started at 6.00 a.m. and has been coming down really heavily since then. Have local radio on and they are closing all the schools at lunchtime. Main roads just about passable but lots of sliding accidents on them so cars are clogging up the roads now! I walked to work this morning and left the car at home. Some staff have not made it though and it looks as though I might have to do a double shift at the moment as I live the nearest and will be walking home anyway:eek::rolleyes: We shall have to see what happens. I will have to nip home at some point to let my dog out!
Corned beef hash (round 2) for tea thank goodness - so I don't have to worry about preping anything. Good job really.
Hope you are all keeping warm and safe indoors
x"Keep smiling, it makes people wonder what you are up to........"Dieting ........... is no piece of cake!!!!:D
