Welcome
Magazines are definitely a popular choice and I will have to work on my OH this year to drop his buying of Stuff, T3 and others. Very expensive and all in all, very close to be actually a magazine that is a "what you can buy" magazine (if you can afford it). What's the point when there's so much data on line.
Could we set up some kind of swap shop for our magazines? Post them on to someone else when they are finished?Debt at highest: £8k. Debt Free 31/12/2009. Original MFD May 2036, MF Dec 2018.0 -
Great thread. I gave up the magazines and books last year (now an avid library user). Arent magazines ridiculously expensive? And I hate the kids ones that cost £3 and pretend to be educational. For me its the clothes shop across the road from work that always seems to have a bargain rail going. And there's always something reduced to a fiver that will fit me. And I always persuade myself that I have got to have it.I am going to stop going in there. In fact I am going to stop even walking past just in case!0

My work got relocated in shopping no man's land thus no temptation anymore. Actually use to be close to Hobbs and I very rarely find any bargain buy (here is a surprise ... not).Cigarettes, I am arriving back into the UK Jan 14th and once I step off that plane I will not smoke!MFW on your mark0 -

Checked the postal and you'd be looking at 90p minimum a send. I am not sure. I think a new thread dedicated about swap could be interesting??
On my side, tackled the magazine discussion with other half. Wasn't planning just came up when discussing the spends ahead. He agreed with me on T3, PC Format,... and has been decreasing the number of times he buys them (I have not noticed but have not paid much attention to it lately so I keep an eye out of for it. To be fair I think he has. Tried to engage him to come on the 2010 board but that was a step too far for him (commitment!)
So this is looking goodMFW on your mark0 -

Thread got moved to Diary section so could be related to the drop of interest and feedback.
