I bought my fiancee a mag subscription which has worked out cheaper as he no longer looks at the mag section when we go shopping

Great idea. I tried it on mine, did not work (maybe because I showed that it was through Tesco Clubcard)

  • First day going well here, took the train to work instead of driving in the snow but took a book. Did pop into smiths to check how the magazine celebs were doing though!
My first horse magazine arrived today too, will save it for a train trip home this weekend. Nice getting exciting post too (only other mail was a £200 gas bill :O) so would recommend mag subs!

I do avoid the daily free metro newspaper though apart from a time-to-time dose. It kind of is depressing (death, murder, accident, cancer, ... etc oooh it is so negative).

When I am bored from reading, I am using ipod. Subscribed to radio shows and cinema releases (free).

Yay! I forgot my number already...is a dolt! The only books I am allowed to buy are the ones I need for uni - no other books allowed unless they have an academic need.

I chose books as there's no way I'd live without DVDs. I'm an English and Film studnet so I need NEED my DVDs/films/book adaptions for comparison. And there is the fact that for one of my first year options, I needed *thinks* 6 books. And for the other which lasted 13 weeks I needed 4. So I have enough uni books to deal with (and a cinema book, and a theory book and probably more books that could ever be read)

I do it all because I'm scared.
