Ok then I'll go for this challenge as well.
    I'll give up cigs..40 a day at £10
    and
I'll give up buying lunch on the go when working and take something in instead..cost varies day by day but I work 6 days a week normally.

    So huge savings there.

Hi Daisy1973, I so agree with you on magazines. I actually drop any purchases on Mag about 2 years ago. I would only bring some home when I find them in the train. I stack them up and other half from time to time drops then at the hospital & Emergency waiting rooms (All to work on the good balance for the karma :o)

Good idea,i like your way of thinking.:o

I'm going to give up buying fizzy drinks at work.
    Excellent, good luck

Is this pledge to keep away from the fizzy drink from the vending machine? Most frustrating with those when I get the odd one on late shift. the bottle always drops from an height and it is a nightmare to open... Why I am putting myself through this. It would be equivalent to first throwing the bottle on the floor at home and then trying to open it  Yes I do have a lot of anger with vending machines :rotfl:

    Massive Savings!!

All the best those are going to be tough but always pop for a winge and some support.

I quit smoking by hypnosis 4 or 5 years ago. Was in a bad mood for about 2 months (some people say I am still suffering from it)

I like the Take lunch to work. I started a bit this with NSD challenges. It is good. There is another challenge on this specifically as well on the board.

It sure is! The vending machine is such a rip off but I always end up going to it and I don't know why. There's free tea, coffee and water/sparkling water so there's really no excuse to go spending, and I've got about 3 boxes of herbal tea in my drawer.

Day 3 and all going well...Just finished the lemonade in the fridge too - maybe I'll just cut fizzy drinks out altogether.

I pledge to drop - buying magazines. I have a penchant for BBC Focus and BBC History mags, both cost almost £4 each:eek:. Then there's Empire at almost the same :o. [/QUOTE]

Thanks for joining. May be Wikipedia can help. I personally quite like the front page with random articles when I look for something else.

    Good luck

Thanks for that Karom. It's funny but I have never, ever been on Wikipedia and I'm not really sure why not (well that was true until about 15 minutes ago:D)

It looks like something I would really like and I think I was perhaps put off before, having read that a lot of info on it was a bit dodgy! Even if it is, I think I could have fun going through it:T

    Cheers!

Hello, Thank you for your joining us!

Now only buying on sale equating to only buying an item when it is not full price
Interesting but I think you'll have to define it further to help to keep track of it & for motivation factor: food/clothes/makeup/...
... however buying lots of stuff on sales may be defeating the object?? :rotfl:says me who just before Christmas blew a lot of money on absolutely essential (?) jackets (x2) because they were such a steal. Yes I am in penitence now
