    Morning All

You may remember a while ago DS2 was summoned to court...well thats today and as he is 17 I have to go too  Im quite nervous, although the solicitor thinks he has been summoned 'by mistake' some sort of administration error I don't know that I have enough faith in the justice system to be sure they will recognise this as an error - we shall see

Dinner is braised mince - possibly with roasties and carrots or sweetcorn. I'll get on with the Flylady list when I get back as I'm not in work until tomorrow and I want to try and keep on top of the housework. Decs will be taken down today - at last!

Kids are back at school today so hopefully DD will get back to normal - she's been a demon over the holidays!

    Have a good day all

    Morning all.
Hugs to SG & family, good luck JackieO, hugs to Diva & Tris.
Cold & frosty here today & the sky is grey & heavy, probably with snow waiting to fall. Last day off for me today & then it's back to work, what joy. I'm all bunged up with a cough & cold & last night I had earache, so it was nightnurse to the rescue, I must make sure I keep my ears warm today when I pop to the bank.
    Have a good day everyone.
    Hugs Hester.

    Hi there

Well its all still frozen here and being Scotland a Bank holiday. Got a few things to get in town but not sure what time all the shops will open.

Kids are back from their dads and school/nursery starts tomorrow so need to get things sorted for that. Am adament some sort of nite time prep will start from now on.

Going to try and do an inventory of all the food we have as its disgracefull. The problem is the kitchen is so small everything gets wedged in and the stuff at the back gets left. So more organisation there too.

Here is hoping it will happen!!

    Have a good day x

Doggies been walked round the snowy park and I'm on my first cup of tea. Quite a late start today!
Young dog was a poorly pet yesterday but seems to be fine now.
Made arrabiatta yesterday instead of soup, and made it nice and spicy so that made a good change from the meat-fest over the holidays. It's such a cheap meal - garlic, chillis(use crushed chilli), tin tomatoes and a good splosh of olive oil. And pasta. There's enough left over for DH's lunch and I'll have crckers and cheese.
Going to give the livingroom carpet a good sprinkle of bicarb. Planned to do it the other day but the carton was empty. Have now found another one in DD's cupboard.
Studying 9.30 - 12 again today - easing back into it all.
(((SunnyG))) - it is such a hard time for you all. Thinking of you.
Molly - does your son not enjoy college? I taught at an FE college until recently and I know that some students feel the course isn't what they thought it would be etc. There should be someone he can talk to - mentor or personal tutor. I know how difficult it is though, as my DSS dropped out of 2 courses.
Bank Hol here - forgot to put a cheque into the bank the other day when I was there about something else - not very MSE:naughty:
    Have a good day all

  • OH My Goodnessgraciousme!

My heating broke down last night. Which I'm sure is as a result of one particular customer I has yesterday wishing it upon me because I couldn't offer them a repair last night at half past five! Rudest man I have ever spoken to!
OH was last to be last night, and even though I reminded him to close all the downstairs doors, as the hallway is prticularly cold, I came down to wide open doors and a house temp. of 6 degrees!!!!! He was quickly turfed out of bed and sent up to the loft for the wee heaters I have "just in case". Silly man.
Before anyone asks, no I gon't get special service from the men in the blue vans because of my job. I'll be waiting til tomorrow afternoon too for my repair. Actually, that will be Wednesday morning, as I'm w*rking myself tomorrow.

That's the moaning over now. I'm off to get the MOT done shortly, dreading it as I know I have one or two potential problems with the car. Then off to do some shopping and the afternoon will be spent baking, cooking for the freezer and ironing.

    Have a great day, everyone.

Hugs and love to everyone in need.

    Good morning,

Grumpy the house elf has an inset day today. I was going to take him swimming, but as he's been up since 4:30am I think he's out of luck. I am shattered. Today I am going to clean the fridge. I keep thinking I'll wait until it's empty, but it's never empty, so I'd better just get on with it.

The last time I did a freezer inventory it scared me, so I'll just keep looking for things in there to eat I think. There's plenty. I had vouchers for an online Asda shop this week, due to some numpty leaving my shopping in the rain somewhere last week. It arrived soaking wet, and the cat litter bag split and apily all over my front path and hall. I've used it mainly to get milk and heavy things like cat food and cat litter so I don't have to carry them next week. I prefer going shopping myself, but the voucher and free delivery had to be used....

I have a little bit of ironing to do, and I need to press Grumpy's school trousers which have had to be altered as he has grown since September. He's yawning already - I'm not surprised.

    Take care all of you

    Morning everyone.
Had about 5 hours sleep so pass the matchsticks :rotfl: Partly our own fault staying up to watch TV - must go to bed regardless of what's on TV or DVD. I taped Wallander last night, not seen it before but I confess to having a bit of a "thing" for Kenneth Branagh :o
Got to pop and get some nappies today for DD without fail or she'll be being potty trained early :rotfl:
Having a first attempt at making HM chicken soup, not tried it before but have some scraps off the carcass to add and am going to make the stock in a mo.......might have nose on here to look for some tips.
Not sure about tea, will check my massive freezer list and see what I can come up with :D
Never made my Nigella's Orange breakfast muffins yesterday so definately want to do those today, fed up of toast for brekkie.
It's freezing here with a VERY hard frost. My back patio is like a skating rink due to my hot water keep overflowing. Hoping my dad can come and sort that out today.
H is off all this week, DS has inset day today so not sure what we'll do inbetween all my scheduled jobs LOL!

Diva - Hugs to you. Never nice having to admit something you'd rather not.
JackieO - good luck at the oncologist today. You could start a pool on which phlebotamist will find a vein first :rotfl:
jc - hope all goes well at court today xx
Molly - when I decided not to go to Uni I thought I'd have a nice long relaxing summer ahead of me........sadly my mum had other ideas and sent me packing to get a job. However the upside is the job I eventually got I met my H there - how my life would be different had she not made me get off my butt :T I guess if your DS doesn't want to go to college then you can't make him but I wouldn't make it too comfy for him at home. I know it's going to be difficult to get a job but if he's not at college he's going to have to do something.
Sunnygirl - hugs to you and your brood. Thinking of you all xxx
Julie - hope fibro pain eases for you today xx

That's about all folks. One of my new years resolutions is not to spend so much time on here (how will I cope?!). If we don't have plans in a morning it's very easy for me to stay logged on and hop on and off......sadly stops me getting any housework done etc so need to step away after a very quick surf :o
Have a good day OS or not. Hugs to those that need them.
