Bitsy - Having seen your freezer list then I can see why you might need a bigger freezer but you DO know that you will just end up with all the more stuff in there that you don't eat, don't you?

SunnyGirl - still have the candle burning for your MIL and family.
Cranky - thinking of you and the house elf.
Sistercas - David Tennant was fabulous in Hamlet I thought. Really showed what an great actor he is.
jc - well done on sorting things out for your son, my Godson worked for the 'chicken' company and the management used to change their shifts seemingly on a whim.
Tristan is not well. Apparently his 'worn out' should have been translated as something more like 'totally wiped out and running a high temperature'. His sister is pretty worried about him.
I had to admit to something I didn't want to admit to yesterday and it's made me feel a bit sick in my stomach but I guess like most things it is better to face up to the truth when you have been an idiot.
My OS-iness today is to ensure our inventory is finally finished.. We did the 'pully-in-and-outy-larder' (technical term

Anyway, the BM and WM are on so the day has started and my OH goes back to his day job today too after two weeks off so he will be a grumpy monkey when he gets up. I have laid a tray up with his cereal and fruit juice and when I have posted on here will play around and make an an origami flower too, to cheer him up.
I hope the week starts as well as it can for everyone and that anyone under the weather feels better. With love and light to all.

Good morning
I didnt get to post yesterday as OH decided to fix the lock on the back door which has been playing up for about 4 monthsCue back door open and lots of cold air coming in:mad: Why is it when they do DIY it takes up so much of our time?
Not much to report here, will try to get out later for my walk - didnt get out yesterday but I figure that I walked miles providing all the cups of tea (and praise) and "eyeing up" and fetching tools :rotfl:
MSD Sorry to hear about Tris.
Jackie O Hope all goes well today, your posts always inspire me
SunnyGirl Thinking of all of you
((((Hugs)))) for everyone else0 -
Julie - I do hope the pain eases a little. I just actually spoke to Tristan and he sounded better than I expected. He does have a temperature but he is in bed and being looked after so sure he will be fine.
Halight - we are having a shin of beef casserole today, possibly in the slow cooker but not sure yet. Will be chopping lots of lovely vegetables to go in it later. May add a chilli - our HG ones are lethal.. tiny but really pack a punch!
Remmie - so you didn't use the phrase ' You missed a bit' at all then.. :rotfl::rotfl:I think tea and supportive words are worth a lot when it comes to OHs and DIY!

Morning chums ,Brrr its very chilly this morning, and I have DGD coming to breakfast at 8 as school starts back, and she's back at her placement today for the day as she missed out the last day before Christmas because of the snow shutting the school. Well its snowed a little over night but its more icy than snow on the ground. When I cam home last night from DDs about 9.00.p.m. the snow felt like it was very gritty to walk on, more like hailstones or salt, very odd.
This afternoon I see my oncologist at the Medway hospital for my check up so fingers crossed.I also have to have a blood test about my thyroid as the levels have been rising a bit. That will be jolly as finding a vein normally takes ages as most on my left arm collapsed with chemo and they can't use the right arm at all.Still it all makes fun for the phebotomists day I suppose. They like to have a wager to see who can find any blood to extract when I go there.Black humour at its best:)
I did a brilliant job on my bedroom yesterday, even if I do say so myself .When I went to bed last night it looked like a new room as all the rubbish and junk had been removed and I shall ship it to the charity shop/rubbish tip this morning hopefully.I've just got one more bedside lamp to fix,I think it needs a new fuse, and the wires tightening up.I did one yesterday and its working fine.
Breakfast for me today will be a big bowl of porridge (Very Goldilocks) that should keep me warm and mobile unilt lunch.I have some soup that I got out of the freezer yesterday that I will finish off with a cheese and tomato sandwich.Dinner tonight will also be from my freezer I think some nice braised beef with veg and mash.I have some apples in the conservatory that I am going to peel and stew today as they are getting a bit like me ,very wrinckly:), then I shall make a large apple pie with a dollop of mincemeat in the middle to use up the Christmas mincemeat.I am detremined to stay away from the shops as long as I can and shop from the cupboards and freezer. This will be my 4th NSD in a row:jI have such a lot of food in store its daft to be going and buying more.
I have to make some fairy cakes for my DGS Danny as he starts his job full-time this morning and will be popping in with my London paper on his way home from the station tonight. He parks his car in my road to save on BR parking charges. You can tell his my grandson can't you. Well time is galloping on and so must I
MSD I hope Tris imporoves it must be a worry for you.
Take care all and stay wrapped up warm.

Good morning all.
I have been up since 6am and have fed the cats, dogs, children & myselfThe humans had porridge as it is ffffffreeeeeeezing out there  I have also dusted & polished downstairs, wiped all the cupboard fronts in the kitchen and wiped the doors down and will go and do the same upstairs in 15mins. I'm pleased to be getting back into a normal routine really. All the laying around & relaxing is ok for a bit then I get bored :rotfl:
MIL getting slowly worse sadly & DH is feeling the strain now. He was in a foul mood yesterday but it is to be expected so we're all giving him lots of extra TLC and the older children too who have been closer to her than DS3 and so are more upset too.
Lunch today will be egg mayo sandwiches and a carrot & chickpea salad and dinner this evening is meatballs & spaghetti in pasta sauce.
Diva Big hugs honey xx
Julie My best friend has fibro so I sympathise with the pain & tiredness you are going through ((hugs)).
Hugs to anyone else who needs one & it's nice to see new posters - keep posting it's a great place to be :T0 -
Good Morning
(((SunnyGirl & family))))
MSD - (((hugs))) also for Tris
Good Luck for today JackieO
Very cold here again and the weather lady said will be the same for the next 10 days, bbrrrr.
OH not feeling too good today, think it is the tablets he has been put on, all his family apparantly reacted badly to them so think a trip to the docs is in order - probably wont get near the place today.
Both kids have non-pupil days today, DD will be in a mad rush getting her homework done & DS will enter into back to school depression! Myself - well I have enough business paperwork to last me all week all day everyday - also as the drivers are back the phonecalls will start.
Nice and easy chicken stir-fry for dinner, well as long as tesco bring the stuff - first proper shop since before Xmas.
Have a good day and keep warm.x0 -
Sunnygirl - thoughts for you and your family.
Im debating what to do re my DS1. he is still in bed and needs to get to college. I have called him twice. Think he might not go back to college - I was getting vibes last night!
WM on - got loads of washing. My cleaner is here today so thats good.
Its very cold here today but looks beautiful. Good luck to all those braving the cold. Hope first day back at work goes ok for those today xI must not fear. Fear is the mind-killer.
Fear is the little-death that brings total obliteration.
I will face my fear. I will permit it to pass over and through me. When it has gone past I will turn the inner eye to see its path.
When the fear has gone there will be nothing. Only I will remain.0 -
Morning all!
DD is back at school today so her packed lunch is made and shes about to get washed and dressed while her breakfast, that shes just decided on, cooks-a hard boiled egg! Never mind at least its something warm and it shouldn't make too much mess on her uniform!
I'm still tired-that night shift has really thrown my sleeping out of sync and I may have a nap later-not for too long though as I'm up for work at 5.30 tomorrow so will need an early night tonight.
Os today will be washing and drying bedding and cleaning the kitchen. Need to shop for the first time this year too.
Thinking of sunnygirl and family and Diva and Tris.
Hugs.July grocery- 24.40/220. NSD-1/3.
Myself, DD, 2 cats, 35 weeks pregnant.
Debts- CC's- V-775, F-1253.10, BC-3291.80, T-1429.08. Total-6748.98. All 0%. Aim- to pay £200 per month.0 -
Thank you everyone who gave me advice about the foil!
If I put the sandwiches in freezer bags, and wrap them twice in the foil, will that make it less likely to get freezer burn?Dogs and Cats are better than kids because they eat less, don't ask for money... and if they get pregnant, you can sell their children!0
