I'll try to get my new camera working tomorrow and send you a picture of my car in the drive... mind you, if I were the snow, I'd avoid Swindon too ;):p:p

Catz - we used to have a problem with our CB where the trap inside would fill with water and need emptying.

Cosmomo - go you! You have done great

    Helen
    - hope your DH has a comfortable night

I've hoovered the living room, time for a list update. DH has just got home from work - not weather related, work launch related - on the news now.

We've got some snow, but 5 miles out of town is supposedly horrible conditions. Our Council declared all our regions schools closed for a second day today at 3ish o'clock (so actually time to prepare, which was soo great, as opposed to ringing round for babysitters with 30 minutes to get myself to work!), so have managed to re-arrange working hours so am also off tomorrow but have to work my day off on Friday (not so good, but get another pyjama day tomorrow with my boys).

Hope you all get to where you need to go in the morning safely.

rach - fitbug is great so far, but I think lots of people got them for Christmas/New Year, and today was the first delivery day, so the site is very, very slow! I guess we'll see whether it works over the next few months. Can I interest you in a 20 mile walk from Winchester to Salisbury in aid of Naomi House Hospice on 6th June?

Possibly, the distance wouldn't be a problem really though I'm a bit out of practice! Can you send me some details?

    I would recommend you reschedule!

I have texted my colleague and we reckon that's probably the best plan, so I have texted to warn her it's inlikely we'll be getting into work due to London panic! tbh i also don't want to be stranded so far from home if it gets worse in the day, though i ahve a colleage with a landrover who lives not too far away...

Rach - I know the posh place you mean ;) It was in the news a little while ago - the HSBC there... ;) Probably beyond our league!
Ah, we had our account there for some of my youth projects...:D

I am not in the least bit tired tonight...don't know why. I really should go to bed and read...

On a positive and useful note I've been through some of my old work files and found a service outline and sermon from the same sunday a few years ago to my first one back taking a service (17th Jan). I won't completely reuse it but it gives me a starting point, especially as I'm so out of practice!!

I can't believe how heavy the snow is down here or how quickly it started laying! I honestly can't remember ever seeing this much snow or known it snow so much for so long - it looks lovely and I'm not expecting to have to go to work tomorrow :D

Toots - I do a one a day list when I'm at work; I only add more for the holidays. Thanks for your comments though :A

    zoe - huge congrats :T

    kalojac, joeyjimbles - welcome

valli - glad you made it home; what a nice man to help out like that

    skipsmum - oh no! hugs

helen - hugs and prayers for you all x

JillD - brilliant; well done! Florida - when I went with a 4 year old, he found it quite tiring and was limited to what he could go on (and he was very tall for his age!) but he still had great fun and does remember it.

My first star ever please!! I do like this thread - it's a bit hard to reply to people but I love reading up on what everyone else is up to, it gives me something nice to come back to on tea breaks :)

What made my day today was going through my clubcard vouchers.I phoned them up and they have rolled up my out of dates and all my vouchers that I've lost and my February statement will have over £50 in vouchers; added tothe ones I have it's £288 worth! And £90 in points from Natwest credit card too. :D

Tuesday ~ Master bedroom and landing!
    ALL DONE!!
Did everything except wash windows on the extras list. Cleaned five lampshades and replaced virtually every dead bulb in the house. I really, really burnt my thumb and forefinger by being an idot and attempting to adjust a lit bulb - i have my hand in a glass of water still after about two hours :( The upstairs hall is gross really, I've neglected because I hate it whilst we still have building work going on in places. But spending time does help me think about how I will eventually decorate it.

Wednesday - Living room, hall and stairs
    Level one
Clear floors of clutter and vacuum them
Make time for yourself!! Half an hour of peace!
    Level Two
    Wipe sofas
Vacuum under furniture you can safely move.. I don't want any hurt backs!
Sort coats and shoes and bags
    Level Three
Dust and deweb allthose corners and electrical appliances and shelves.. etc
Clear mantel and put back only what should be up there!
    Wipe and water plants
    Extras
    1. Vacuum under furniture you can safely move
    2. Wash any soft furnishing that need it
    3. polish and dust all the electricals!
    4. Binbag dance..
    My list
Buy diary, birthday card for friend and post it
    Organise hair appointment
Dig out and add up all my tesco vouchers
    Measure for blinds
    fetch picture from SILs
Everything that is supposed to be in heaven is already here on earth.
