Rach - we have an inch in Leics at the moment and it is still falling. The M'way is very quiet tonight! Birmingham was pretty bad earlier.

Nothing done tonight beyond filling DW, WM and TD. A red day both for food and exercise. Must do better tomorrow. Seems likely we will have no school, and DH will need to borrow the Defender to get to his important meeting so the littles and I will be stuck at home. I can at least catch up with the cleaning then .

Kalojac - Pigpen will update the first post at some point tonight with tomorrows tasks.

That's ok! sorry if being over sensitive but we are thoroughly fed up with this happening! We are now well lagged but still it happened! For the heating to pack in just when you really need it working....well! We got advice from the plumber who fitted and maintains it about what to do. The pipe is in a very open position and yes it does get very very cold! As the boiler is in the airing cupboard, the outside venting pipe can only be accessed via a ladder - impossible for me to do as I have some mobility problems. How do the elderly get on? There has to be a better way! You do seem to have some knowledge yourself of these boilers - any ideas? Would be too painful (financially) to replace the boiler!:eek: I am guessing that quite a few others are in the same position then! Hope your headache goes away soon! Our dd gets hemiplegic migraines so I really feel for you (((hugs)))

Lentil soup was lovely by the way and made loads, just off to thank the op who posted the recipe!

Flyingwise I have now vacuumed my lampshades (fabric) and can see to read now!:D debating sorting out a wardrobe now or settling down with a good book. Miss Read and a hot choc wins!

Rach - if your consultants live in one of the villages I think they will cancel tbh. I have cancelled my consultancy stuff for tomorrow. Could dow ithout losing the money but needs must and all that.

Right, I am going to S&S the bathroom whilst running a bath. Must check no cats are upstairs after being woken at 2am this morning by George sat on my head as she decided to forgive me for standing on her on Sunday and clean my nose at the same time. Cat breath and sandpaper tongue at 2am. *shudders*

Tuesday ~ Master bedroom and landing!
Level One
[STRIKE]Strip wash and replace the bedding![/STRIKE]
[STRIKE]Declutter the floor.. laundry gone, shoes gone..[/STRIKE] etc
Level Two
[STRIKE]Clear a box of stuff from the landing.[/STRIKE] NONE
Vacuum and turn the mattress
Vacuum the floors
Level Three
Tidy a chest of drawers/wardrobe.. is there anything past its best that can go live elsewhere?
[STRIKE]Clear and tidy the top of a wardrobe/COD and replace only what is necessary.. surely you don't need it all!?[/STRIKE]
[STRIKE]Wash curtains/blinds that are in need.[/STRIKE]NOT NEEDED


Extras

1. Wash windows
2. [STRIKE] Dust and deweb [/STRIKE]
   
3. Shine 2 lightshades!
4. Straighten a shelf of books or ornaments..

Did a major blitz of the lounge on Saturday after taking the tree down, so not much left to do....

Wednesday - Living room, hall and stairs
Level one
[STRIKE]Clear floors of clutter [/STRIKE]and vacuum them
Make time for yourself!! Half an hour of peace!:T:T
Level Two
Wipe sofas
[STRIKE]Vacuum under furniture you can safely move.. I don't want any hurt backs![/STRIKE]
[STRIKE]Sort coats and shoes and bags[/STRIKE]

Level Three
[STRIKE]Dust and deweb allthose corners and electrical appliances and shelves.. etc[/STRIKE]
[STRIKE]Clear mantel and put back only what should be up there[/STRIKE]
Wipe and water plants


Extras

2. Wash any soft furnishing that need it
3. [STRIKE]polish and dust all the electricals! [/STRIKE]

Thanks. Think one def lives in a village near Birmingham. They're from a smallish company on a contract with us to evaluate our projects anyway so the money isn't the issue. Although one of them works unbelievably hard so I wouldn't put it past her...

I emailed work to myself so I have something to do if we have a snow day as I don't want to lose a day's leave :rolleyes:
