Think I'm going off to bed now - there's still some stuff on my bed to be sorted so I'll go and sort that out and then have an early night and hope that the schools are still closed tomorrow!

    Ditto!!!

    Night all xx

    evening all

got half an eye catching up on the thread and half on casualty, though it's long so I'll only manage half of it tonight (am aware lots of you said it's a weepy one too!)

No snow here yet but the world has gone mad. Trains delayed tonight tho I was ok as got on an earlier delayed one and still go home at about the same time! They were handing out leaflets saying that there will be a limited (whatever that means!) train service tomorrow due to the predicted bad weather, then I went to M&S for milk and the shelves were bare!! everyone is panic buying :rotfl:

greenbee - i'll be interested in how you get on with the fitbug - I'm thinking of buying some (or similar) for a walking on referral project i'm setting up.

steam cleaner - the reason i'm interested is partly because our big gas burner isn't working - i think because I boiled my chilli jam over and it has (i think) gummed up the hole where the gas comes out - any suggestions welcome. Anyone who fancies lending their unused one... :p

  • Ok - not so good today but give me a break, I booked a smear test and did my tax return.

    An interesting combination! :rotfl:

HHI completed, and should do some paperwork but case of CBA has settled

Although no one can go back and make a brand new start, anyone can start from now and make a brand new ending.... life is a WIP.

Have managed NOTHING this morning. Spent 2 hours at the doctors and the rest of the time on the phone cos some fraudulent ***hole has emptied my bank account. Now I have to go and pick up DS1 from college 25 miles away cos the train has broken down due to ice (! it worked this morning!) and then Ive got to go and get DS2 from school early because his is a village school and they are worried they will get cut off when it snows later. Theyve only had him back a morning!

Hope you get your bank account situation sorted soon, how terrible is that!

I seem to be suffering from an attack too... still, I think it's unlikely that my brother will be visiting tomorrow, so I can relax a bit... ;):D

Back to read in front of the fire... might make myself a coffee and see whether I can kill off this headache. I think it'll be a 4 hot water bottle night tonight too...

When I was first pregnant with DS I did the kipping thing too (I had forgotten) - I would come in from work tired and hungry BUT the tiredness won and I'd sleep for two hours...
School closed vibes please I so don't want to even try tomorrow after the stress of today. I don't even care that my car is at work (virtually anyway) and I am not. Buses are off it's cold and dark and dangerous out there.
On the plus side though I have had my arm shoved up my back and (Rach you listening?) internet dating here I come...a friend of mine's doing it and says I should give it a go.

I also tried this at one time and went on a date with the first guy I viewed on the site and had a nice 6 months with him, it only ended cos he didn't really understand the kiddies as he'd had no experience of them and I couldn't be bothered to teach him but it was a nice time so go for it

Am going to put the laptop down and at least try and concentrate on the tv! I'm terrible at focussing on one thing at home.

You weather watchers - we have consultants coming down from Nottingham and Birmingham tomorrow....need to let them know by 8am if they're not to come...what do you think? still nothing here!

    Hi,

I've just lost a long post and don't feel like typing it all again, so here's the short version.

Got to work early to find out that school was going to close - nightmare journey home. Rest of family off as well. My school closed tomorrow and DS2's taxi unlikely to come. Will see about DH and DS1.

Thread is unbelievably long already and I won't post much, as my laptop won't charge. I'll try to update list as and when I can borrow DS1's.

Plan for tomorrow is to take DS2 out on his sledge, probably to feed ducks. Then finally mark speaking tests and also do some flying.

Have a good evening. Hope you are all safe and well.
