My ex's mum used to iron socks and bras... wierdo!
    Now that IS weird!

Head undecided whether to close tomorrow - apparently two schools fairly near ours didn't BUT many of our kids travel in by car:o from a distance so they WILL struggle. Most DID close though. I know the kids need theri education but they also need to be safe...and they would be safer at home IMHO.
I am so NOT looking forward to even trying. He's going to phone around 7 to let me know *stamps foot* no lie in then as I get up at 6:30 (theoretically, anyway)

I find I can happily sleep for that long if I don't take enough exercise and eat properly, so its a vicious circle.

I've nearly finished decluttering the living room, and will then go back to working on the kitchen. The study and utility room are getting worse  but then it looks as if I might not have that many visitors at the weekend after all...

My lovely online fitness gadget seems to think my calorie intake is a bit low, even with the illicit fudge & brioche this afternoon. Before I dive in to the icecream to compensate :p I think I'd better see whether I can get it to be more accurate. I don't think my homemade lentil soup will have the same calorie content as tinned... but given that I wasn't weighing stuff when I made it, I can't really correct it. Still, I know what I need to do now... weigh EVERYTHING!!!!

Must go and supervise the stove... I don't want it to get lonely and go out :D
  • YAY! Tuesday done barr a couple of extras. Done quite a bit extra off my own list though as I managed to sort through all of my baby bits.

TUESDAY DONE! DO I GET A STAR FOR TODAY EVEN THOUGH I HAVEN'T COMPLETED MONDAY'S YET?

JillD - well done on the credit card front

Valli - well done to you and DH aswell and hope you feel better in the morning

I've just come back from the hospital, DD cried on and off through the visit as I knew she would but she's ok, DS asked lots of questions and then sat down with Nintendo DS and we didn't hear from him again! DH is in ALOT of pain, I had to get a nurse and ask what was going on, results due in tomorrow morning so we should know then hopefully and he was given stronger pain relief [Tramadol with Morphine to back it up if he needs it] he's just sent a text to say he's pacing the corridors now trying to see if walking helps. I have to confess to being very worried now but hopefully tomorrow will dawn with better news

The second community meeting was also successful and we are going ahead with plans for an event in the park in June. We need a bank account though - does anyone (AnW's perhaps?) know about setting up community accounts and the hoops that need to be gone through?

We do a charity/Club/Society account, basically you decide how many signatories you want (which can be changed in the future) but I personally always recommend at least 2 people to sign taken from a group of at least 3. If you are already a personal account holder then we should be able to identify you from your account records (v occasionally we need to update ID hence the should) if any parties are not already customers then we have to identify them. Usually a passport or driving licence and council tax bill are all that is needed. Until all parties are identified the account is not opened and you don't all have to turn up en masse. The form can be collected from any branch (as long as they have them in stock ;) ) with each person taking their ID personally. Any more questions drop me an email, I can arrange to get a form posted if you like.

Jill congrats on the credit cards :T and re Disney I took Miss A and W when they were 4 and 7, we went with Mum and Dad as there was no way I would be able to take them on my own. DH and I wanted to take them and although we had not discussed exactly when we were generally agreed that we would wait til W was a bit older ie 7+ All that said they both had a great time and both of them went in buggies as it was so hot. We bought one in Walmart for $10!!!! for Miss A. I would love to take them again when they are older but it was a magical age for them both.

Christmas decs sorted into a bag for school and the rest neatly tidied in a box ready to go back in the loft when Dad can give me a hand. I am thinking of making some large drawstring bags for the sections of Christmas tree so that it is easy and lighter to get in and out of the loft. Need to check what fabric I have knocking around to sort this.
