moam - yes it more than just rides, I was nearly crying when we went under the 'welcome to disnay world' sign! Yes the shows etc are spectacular and the fireworks etc but depending on the child it can be toooooo overwhelming as well. It was for me!!!! LOL Seaworld - cried like a nutter behind the camera (trying to pretend I wasn't) for the dolphin shows etc. Getting the kids to stand under the lamp post with the umberella attached to it at universal for 'singing in the rain' was priceless, none of them weighed ennough to step on the button on the floor to make the water cascade over the brolly!! Honey I shrunk the kids was good as well. In fact all of it was
Err flying - i've got home in one peice which is an achievement in itself in this village!! DH starting tea and I'm - well I'm on here and FB!To love and be loved is the greatest happiness of existance - Sydney Smith0 -
Had to do this last year.. LLyods TSB were the easiest to deal with, but you are best starting somewhere where one of you has an account.
All signatories may have to go and present id.
I second Lloyds, and wouldn't recommend Barclays - having dealings with both for charity accounts.
Flying - since in we've done another HHC in DS's room (beginning to look great).
I've sorted my indoors freezer to get some more bits in just in case the freezer in the shed (bottom of garden) is not readily accessible tomorrow.
School website checked and ready to go if we need to close tomorrow.
WM x 1, TD x 1
S & S of kitchen.
Dinner prepped - mealplan sorted for rest of week.
Snowy friends/rellies checked on.
so time for a coffee now?
laters, MoamAlthough no one can go back and make a brand new start, anyone can start from now and make a brand new ending.... life is a WIP.
Snowball says too far away, working hard to bring it forward.0 -
I'm really struggling too. All the stuff is off the floor and in piles on the bed but I can't decide what to do with it. There is too much to put away (that's why it was on the floor) and I seem incapable of making any decisions. Feeling really depressed have had tea and biscuits and now feel fat and depressed. Maybe I should do yours Jo and you could do mine! I'm sure we could be more rational about each others mess.
Lol - I like that idea!
My problem sounds very similar to yours. I have far too many clothes and far too much stuff, and christmas presents etc hasnt helped with my storage probelms.....
I do need to have a clear out which is pending, but I cant clear out in the middle of all the mess!! And I cant tidy it, because there isnt room for everything to go away!!! Vicious circle!
Anyway, Ive taken the timer upstairs and decluttered some of my sky planner whilst I pottered around. I did 15 mins but was on a roll so I did another 15 mins. I didnt have any dirty clothes lying around - they were already in the basket. But ive moved the basket out just now to make more room. Ive put away new make up, nail polishes etc that I got for christmas, Ive cleared off the dresser, made my bed, and put the old bedding in the washing. Ive gathered up piles of clothes which are waiting to be gone through and I am holding my bed hostage with them. The floor looks clearer and I am determined not to just chuck them on the floor when I go upstairs.
Im gonna do my chores downstairs just now, lunches, uniforms, (just in case there is school tomorrow), and go through a bag of filing/shredding which was upstairs, and then when little one is in bed, I will put on a DVD in my room and go through the clothes while watching a movie..... might treat myself to a chocolate!!!!!Sometimes lurking, sometimes posting, but always flying

I'm treasurer for 3 charity accountsYou'll need to set up a charity Account with the bank, and usually have 2 signatures needed for each cheque (and other instructions to the bank, such as Direct Debits). You need to minute that the committee has agreed to open an account and who the sigs aill be. We have about 4 or 5 people who are able to sign cheques, though in practice it's usually me and one other, as they live close and I can get hold of them
People who the treasurer never sees apart from at meetings rarely sign cheques IME, so select other signatories carefully
PM me if you'd like more help.
thanks for keeping us up with the weather btw  DH is doing it too  He is your long lost twin:rotfl:
Thanks for the bank info - do ALL banks do charity accounts and do we all have to turn up en masse to open it?
And re the weather - you're welcome and please say hi to the fellow weather geek that is your DH. My interest arose from working for the Met Office at Exeter for a while. I learnt a lot about it all and got to play with some snazzy computer systems.
They had a room there which is enormous where you're only allowed to enter if you don little blue shoe covers and things. If you looked through the window in the door, it looks like it's a very clean room full of vending machines. Actually, the vending machines were the components of one enormous supercomputer that churned away working out calculations at a very fast speed.
But, I'm getting uber-geeky now.
Except I have to add, the latest is that, Greenbee, you're in for buckets full though the risk here has reduced.
Gordon successfully decluttered. Phone call decluttered which was interesting. It was someone from NatCen (who I'm going on a training course with at the end of Jan - and actually having read through the paperwork just now, have realised I'll get paid for being on it) actually booking me on a series of interviews starting in the middle of February and a half day training session in London  on the 17th. I found it amusing that it was only at the end she said - oh, assuming you pass the training of course...
But enough of my waffle. I need to contemplate dinner and have no idea what I fancy at all. I shall have to go dig around the freezer..I am the leading lady in the movie of my life

Just a reminder to everyone who wasn't paying attention last time I mentioned it... this is why you need to lag the condensate pipe from your boiler!!! You can use ordinary pipe lagging, but if it needs doing now, then bubble wrap, loft insulation covered with polythene bags or even old towels covered with polythene will do.
I really am going to go and do something useful now
Thanks but we have done this! Not a case of not paying attention!!!! Thoroughly lagged 2 yrs ago and topped up this year! the towels are a good idea though as an addition!, will ask dh to add those tomorrow - can't go out now too dark.
Didn't expect a telling off!Off to see if that lentil soup is as nice as it smells!

Thanks both, I'll sound Lloyds out, will avoid Barclays and will also sound out one of my providers, HSBC.
Does the quasi government "peoples" bank, Alliance and Leicester, do such things?
Off to declutter the freezer of something for dinner...I am the leading lady in the movie of my life
