rosepink I am with AnW'sMum on the chocolate - it really needs to be all or nothing - cold turkey -you were not going to be eating it anyway to stop your headaches and feeling bleurgh - maybe if you gave it up as a trial for a month you would see if you are feeling better and achieved something during the day instead of sleeping. I hope you have cleaned the milk of the sofa - milk is the worst thing you can leave - it can smell for weeks if not cleaned properly.
I've cleaned the milk off, and I will do my best re the chocolate although I can't promise anything. :o I hope your day was better today and your carers turned up at reasonable times

Lots of things to relocate/rehome . Lots of it should live in the first aid kit (not so happy about that, it lives above the boiler behind lots of junk, so will be a hassle to unearth).
    greenbee wrote: »
I can get to it, and more to the point, I actually know where it is :D but I don't want it cluttering the place up (besides which, it rarely has what I need it in... savlon, plasters and dressings... I'm adding some mepore, mefix, hydrocortisone cream, crepe bandage, tubigrip and zinc oxice tape).
Your first aid kit needs to be accessible and have sensible things in - if it's buried behind loads of junk and doesn't have the things in that you need you may as well not have one. If you have an accident at home and are badly hurt you are not going to want to rummage around behind the boiler while bleeding heavily or in lots of pain. Put it somewhere sensible and easily accessible and top it up after each use.

Thanks for the bank info - do ALL banks do charity accounts and do we all have to turn up en masse to open it?

And re the weather - you're welcome and please say hi to the fellow weather geek that is your DH. My interest arose from working for the Met Office at Exeter for a while. I learnt a lot about it all and got to play with some snazzy computer systems.

    I'll say a Geeky-Hi to DH :D

If you're a customer of the said bank, they don't need to see you. If you're not, they need to do a security check - I took in a passport and bank statement. You don't need to all go together - just go in with the account details and proof of identity, when it suits, but they won;t open the account fully until they've had ientity checks from everyone ;) I use Lloyds and HSBC. They're both fine, but as yet we've not had any real problems with the ac!!!!s that have needed sorting, so no idea how good they'd be in a crisis

Skipsmum thats awful, hope they catch the swine.
JillD well done on the credit cards.

Zoe i got my dress of ebay from china and it was amazing,it took about 6 weeks to get here.

I've managed food shop and thats it. My ears and throat are sore, nose running, head thumping and starting to get aches and pains, add in an awful cough. I should have went for the flu jab. The last time i had the flu, i lost over a stone in 2 weeks.

Hubby cleared one of his credit cards today and contacted another one to sort out a payment plan, so he's over the moon. I'll try and sort my mess out tomorrow.

Right i'm away to bed, night all.
Sometimes it seems that the going is just too rough.
And things go wrong no matter what I do.
Now and then it seems that life is just too much.
But you've got the love I need to see me through.

Vanilla - hope you feel better v. soon and well done on DH for decluttering one of his credit cards xxx

Found some lamb chops in the freezer so they are being defrosted in the MW before being bunged in the oven to cook. Carrots, cabbage, and glorious mash with gravy is what is required tonight I think.

Thanks but we have done this! Not a case of not paying attention!!!! Thoroughly lagged 2 yrs ago and topped up this year! the towels are a good idea though as an addition!, will ask dh to add those tomorrow - can't go out now too dark.

Didn't expect a telling off! :o Off to see if that lentil soup is as nice as it smells!
Sorry...:o:o telling off wasn't aimed at you ;) - I'm not sure you were even on the thread when I did the last nag about boilers/heating maintenance! However, the fact that my PM box is now full suggests that they'll be learning from your experience! Yours must get very, very cold (sounds like its happened before as you know what to do... lots of people kill their boilers when this happens!)

Stove lit... I have a few things to try to see whether I can get the temperature up high enough to get the coal going and keep going all night. I'm part of the way through clearing the coffee table (although I'm throwing stuff out, more stuff seems to be migrating upstairs ) which may take some time!

ETA - well done koolkid... but don't think Pigpen will let you get away with it ;):D
