Does anyone want to join me in a HHC at 14.15? And when I say join me, I mean at my house! It's a tip! I have got myself two new jobs, been away and need to make a start before I find myself being told off by Kim and Aggie!

    Arrrrgh!

It must have been posher a hundred years ago.............;)

Wasn't it only Sodding Chipbury 100 years ago?

Nice, happy school, King Edmunds, I liked it. Is it still there?

RAC has decluttered my motor, guy rocked up after all, despite saying no-one could come 'til tomorrow. I have to leave it running for 30 min (not very green!). DH on his way home, as snowing in Somerset now.

    Afternoon all,

DS1 phoned me at 1.00 to say the School was closing so could i pick them up. Good job i didn't go out for lunch then. It snowed quite heavily and settled but now it's stopped. We've been in the garden for a snow ball fight and have just come in for hot chocolate. The boys are hoping it snows some more.

I'm going to clear up from lunch, put another load on the airer then make a start on the landing, Ds1 wants the internet so i might not get back on for a while.

Tuesday ~ Master bedroom and landing!
    Level Two
Clear a box of stuff from the landing.I'm going to do ALL of the boxes this afternoon

    My Extras

    1. Fill in K form
    2. Update scrapbook
    3. Get ink for printer
    4. Clean out car
    5. Sort boxes on landing & get OH to put them in attic
    6. Put airer back on landing
    7. Update spending spreadsheet / End of month accounts / Jan budget
    8. Deal with paperwork
    9. Sort Xmas cupboard & wrapping paper bag
    10. Get food waste bags
    11. Book dentist

Pollybear and gratefulforhelp - small world isn't it! I'm up in Yate pretty often trawling around the shopping centre.

Had a nice walk with the dog. It started off snowing heavily then turned sleety and then stopped. There I was thinking we've got away with it, but sure enough as I sit down with yet another cup of tea it's chucking it down again.

I'm wondering whether to go to get DD via the village shop and get some bread and milk ..... just in case we do get a whole lot of snow. Do you think that's sensible or am I being silly?

Zoe, many congratulations! Weddings can be done quickly and cheaply - I had our daughter in the November and we got married on 8th March after having decided to actually go ahead and get married in December! I can't remember as it was such a long time ago now (almost 7 years!) but the whole lot was under £1000 and that included my dress.

Apparently the buses, trains and trams are not running around here and the main roads are not too good either. It hasn't really stopped snowing all day so far but at the moment it is really light stuff, I reckon about 5 inches fell over night.

    Right lunch and onwards.

That doeasn't look goood for me then :D but both here and where I work there was the lightest dusting overnight - the heavens emptied around 8. My back is killing me, presumably from dragging my workbag through the snow. But my colleague and her NDN have been and moved my car up the road to hers, and parked it off the road:D THEN she told me that, where I had left it an abandoned car was ploughed into! I am shattered...

I totally agree, but I think the heads are between a rock and a hard place, on the one hand, safety and having enough staff to run safely, and on the other hand, parents' outrage over having to have a day off to supervise the littlies/biggies. Hard decisions.

Valli - I read that as your car was ploughed into - lucky escape for you, nice NDN you've got there

    Helen

ETA re read it again - nice colleague and their NDN is nice - not yours - although yours is probably very nice aswell. Gosh I think I need a kip now
