Just to let you all know I am home safe.
Thank goodness I had hike boots, socks, extra coat in car...
Made it to colleagues house having spectaculalry failed to get out of the village I teach in. (And boy oh boy was the attempt ) Had cup of coffee and was having a nice play on her laptop when MY KNIGHT IN SHINING ARMOUR ARRIVED. A pupil's father called into school to check all was ok and was offered help and was despatched to help me to he brought me home in his ancient and trusty landrover. My car is abandoned over there though and the roads are bad here now. When I went to school all was clear and fine and it started coming down heavily... School was closed before it even opened but I still didn't make it home!
First time I have ever had to abandon a car though.
Glad to see you got back safely Valli - I didn't even attempt to dig my car out just walked - for nothing but hey - you can start you flying early now. In fact I was just starting a HHC so you could join me!:pNST #10 Steps 7K 2/30 10K 2/12 5 a day 3/30 NSD 0/20

Glad you are back safe and sound Valli!
There are abandoned cars all over here too! Hasn't stopped snowing since I got up at 7am and it had been snowing for a long time before then!
Managed to get the day off as too scared to travel in these conditions and is a long way to go in a car.
Made some dumplings to go in a soup so far and that's about all so far so better give myself a kick to get going and do the kitchen list!final unsecured debt to repay currently £8333Proud to be Dealing With my DebtDFW Nerd 1154 Long Haul 1550 -
I'm a little later online today; Mr LW is working from home today, so been prepping Shepherd Spy as we'll have our main meal at 12:00, and also catching up with the household accounts.
I have my list for today - not sure if I'll get a lot done, as I'm extremely tired (after my bull-at-a-gate efforts yesterday followed by a Mensa meeting in the evening) and also we have to go out when Mr LW finishes work at 15:30, a) to pick up some meds for both of us, and b) to do battle in Morries.
On the other hand. some of today's doesn't apply to me......;)

In that HHC I tidied kitchen floor, washed up, cleaned the front of the units and large appliances, put new toothbrushes in bathroom and threw out the old ones, and listed a new item on etsy.
Very tired today after a bad nights sleep so not planning to do much more now."Snowflakes are one of nature's most fragile things, but just look what they can do when they stick together."
