ruthiejane - I'm in Connah's Quay, is that anywhere near you?
soappie - the garden's so small he's managing to patrol it really well - he'll let the doves and wood pigeons in but that's it and the front garden is usually occupied by next door's cat
There are other berry bushes around and we're near some woods but it must be getting really bad for the birds if we're seeing species that (in my case) we've never even heard of before!"Don't sacrifice what you want most for what you want now"

tootifruities wrote: »ruthiejane breaking it down and sending it in daily chunks is a great idea but off the top of my head i think its not practical -
a) we had 45 new starts this week so I have sent 45 pm's - if I break it down then I would be doing 45pms for a few days:eek: my out box couldnt cope!!! and unfortunately you have to send them singly - there is no means (well at least for me) to send a group of pms
b) not everybody starts on the same day so i think I would get confused as to what i was sending to whom!!
but I will bear it in mind as its maybe something i could work round given time to think about it.

I didnt come right out and tell you that i was going into hospital as I didnt want you all getting worked up and fussing - it was routine and I am fine -I had listed things like ' get hospital bag ready' , remember ipod films and photos for tuesday, and various other things - some people did catch on and kept the secret - i also was interested to see how many people do actually read lists - I know I try to but dont always - maybe I am just nosier than the rest of you:rotfl::rotfl:

toots ((hugs)) I know you must get fed up of fuss, but we do care about you x
Agreed greenbee if you're going to get your car stuck it's a hazard, dragged so many out this week. Our councils advised people needed to drive on the roads to help salt work however so it depends which way it's looked at, if noone drives the salt won't work. They said people should go about their normal lives but with due care necessary. Never going to be an easy right/wrong way but yes plans need to be made. I actually prefer the boys being at home, I'm sad like that but they enjoy the routine, the local kids haven't been an issue as we've had this for weeks and I think they are fed up now. There has been a few accidents on the back field, had to help an ambulance and medic car out with one of them. They sent a plough round the street afterwards so must have been a complaint as no other side streets were done. We always allowed a small amount for my DP not working, he's gone in this week but been so quiet he's ended up with less than minimum wage for his risk (but people are moaning to council there wasn't enough taxis out last week so the TDA had to ensure was some). Starting the year over £1000 down so far isn't fun and if this is a sign of winters to come I need some serious changes in the way we prepare for quiet times.
Anyway, I've had enough of talking about snow, especially as it's now cloudy outsidehere it comes again. We're on call tonight with response service apart from when he needs to get the person to the airport so no drinkies allowed, I don't normally care but when I can't have one why does it bother me? Madness. He's gone to bed now, as he had to open the centre at 9,30am he's worn out, he's getting up at 10pm for tea then I'll go to bed and he can stay up after the airport run (or just doze on sofa) incase we are needed. That way at least one of us has had sleep and can do anything needed. I am really pleased they just managed to sort a patient who needs kidney treatment to - from hospital for the next week (3 days) he lives in the dales and wouldn't have got his life preserving dialysis without it. Considering it's a completely voluntary service where people actually pay to volunteer and no expenses are covered, I find it amazing what is done.
Ok morning list for me
