    Hi all
I've been a good girl so far I have decluttered myself of unwanted/no longer required dirt and hair, cleaned the bathroom, wm x2, td, s/s kitchen, made choco/cherry tiffin and truffles with DD and then washed up.
    0002015E.gif
    The not so good
Decluttered OH bank account of £25 for cooking and gardening books. Watched snippets of charlie and the chocolate factory while stuffing my face with dips and doritos.

DS outside taking lights down:TIf we wait for OH it will be time to put them back up again:rolleyes:

Off for a wee sit down then I'll make a start on the school clothes for tomorrow.

    I'm not a muggle...I'm just magically challenged

Half Hour Challenge where you run around like a mad thing for half an hour getting either daily stuff or jobs from the lists done.

PS - feel as though one of the daily tasks should be keeping up with this thread

I never really manage to keep up with the thread.
    It does move very quick.
If I did keep up with the thread, I wouldn't have any time for flying :p, which defeats the purpose.
I just read as and when I can, but sometimes there are too many pages to catch up with :o

    HHC = half hour challenge/clean.
All the abbreviations are on the first post of the thread :D

Welcome to both of you :D

    Posting from pg 96

Been clearing snow or more to the point ice before the next lot comes down. It has been above freezing here today so it was a bit easier going.

DW been on and and washing sorted. Unless you count lego sorting as flying then not a lot else has been done here :( We are going to take one bucket of lego to Mum and Dad;s (Mum's suggestion :p) so that W has some to play with when he is there after school etc.

I am struggling to keep up with the thread (being nosey I hate skimming :p) but skimming is becoming the norm here at the moment.

    Can I make a suggestion?

To try and keep posts a bit shorter how about people deleting things from the list once they are done, then we don't have reams and reams of the same list with different bits crossed out. It will be easier to see which bits people are leaving til last, could be that they are more time consuming or some of the less popular jobs.

Also with the sheer volume of posts we need to make it easier for toots to spot when stars are required so a reminder for all to post in bold and red when a particular day is complete.

We are a friendly bunch and the support here is second to none but I am concerned that it is getting diluted by the number of posts and newbies will be frightened away by the size of the thread.

If we can all try to make sure there is some flying mentioned in each post (keeping chat for the weekend) then there is no harm in tacking on our jubilations, commiserations, rants or other news we want to share.

I hope I have not offended anyone. Will catch up later properly, about to go down to Mum and Dad's for dinner.

Right then planned on getting the list and started off at about 1pm by dusting my children storage unit. Then decided I would move beds, storage and change the rooms completely which included changing the duvets too as DD had a big bed and is now having the toddler bed until I can afford a bunkbed. Also found a damp patch behind the wardrobe too

    Have dusted though :D

froddy/schools hols & snow days I heard they were on about doing the reduced holidays because of snow days again, this used to happen years ago but they were saying if this sort of weather becomes regular they need to do something to get the balance right. Our children have had a week off now this term, 2 days last term and will probably be off again next week. People struggling to meet full time childcare costs they were not expecting & those having to take time off due to child care problems it's an absolute nightmare. No schools aren't babysitters but people work around what their children are supposed to be doing.

I'm not saying they shouldn't do it - just that I've never heard of that and have no idea how it works. I do appreciate that it's difficult for parents and would never say it wasn't. I'd never had a snow day until I started working in the north of the county, but then we've not had snow / ice at home that's lasted for more than 48 hours for as long as I can remember.

Our school is closed for pupils tomorrow - staff who can get in safely are going to clear the car park and paths so we can, hopefully, open on Tuesday. Mind you, it's now started snowing a little again up there!

I need to update my list now ..............
