Just had a brainwave - it's very cold outside and snowing. My freezer DESPERATELY needs defrosting. Hmmm, (cogs whirring into life in the old grey matter) - why not empty the freezer into bags and put into the garden and defrost the freezer?

So, as we speak, DD is busy defrosting the freezer - I've been told she wants to do it ;). I think she thinks the House Fairy is watching and will give her a bonus 'surprise' which is fine by me!! She said she loves helping me bless her :smileyhea

    Morning all :D

Its freezing here still, but I can see signs of thawing so thats a good thing. Don't know whether I want school to be open tomorrow or not - the roads are still like ice rinks!

Ex has taken DD into town to spend some Xmas money - she's after Mariocart for the wii so she can play against her dad & other members of his family over the 'net ;) Meanwhile I'm going to have a bath and then do some handwashing and get on with the mountain of ironing I have to do. Paperwork can wait and I still haven't found the instructions for the microwave

Wednesday - Living room, hall and stairs
    Level one
    Level Two
    Level Three
Dust and deweb all those corners and electrical appliances and shelves.. etc

    PERSONAL:
(bold needs to be done today)
    Ironing
CLEAN DD's SHOES -she can wear them now and use the stairs in school.
    Bath DD
Phone OU to register for courses (deadline is 7th) remember to tell them about waiting on financing being confirmed! - confused - I was told I would have funding to sit both courses but according to the online thing I've not got it, only for 1 of them :confused: - EMAILED THEM ASKING WHATS GOING ON.
Calender -just waiting on some info from ex when he comes tomorrow to see DD
Sort out meal plan since it needs rejiging ;)
Try to figure out if the washing machine can be saved
    - VERY Doubtful, looks like its time to save money up to pay for a new one.

Off to see to my farm on facebook then I'm going to go for my bath. :D

My DD is doing stuff without being asked too. This morning I woke to find her up, dressed, hair brushed & bed stripped  Yesterday she vacuumed through upstairs, folded laundry and tidied away after herself without being asked. I want to know what she's after :rotfl::rotfl:

Greenbee, forgot to say but I have some lovely thermal trousers (got 3 pairs and I'm living in them at the moment!) - they're all Craghoppers; I have 1 pair of Kiwi winter lined and 2 pairs of Pika winter lined and they come in long length too (essential for me cos I'm tall!). I prefer the Pika as they're cut lower and have more pockets. I think I'm right in saying they're on sale in the Craghoppers website for £22.50 each. Just thought you'd be interested.
    Thanks! Definitely worth knowing.

I've been to the village shop - I meant to have a longer walk, but realised I've left my walking poles in the back of my friend's car (I called her to demand their return, and she reminded me that she also has some of my shopping bags and a cake tin - so she'll drop them off in the next couple of days).

It's starting to thaw, so will be icy tomorrow.

Got some bits in the shop - spoke to the owner, who said one of the ladies who has worked there every day for the last 10 years told him she hadn't realised that so many people lived in the village, as she'd never seen half of them before... he's doing really well at keeping the place stocked up (and they make all their own bread anyway), so hopefully he'll make a killing from all the people who don't usually go there. The crazy thing it, for most things its not more expensive than supermarkets, they just don't have the loss-making products to draw people in, and it's a hell of a lot more convenient!

Mind you, I won't be upset when everyone else stops using it and I can shop in peace!:D

Blue sky here - have cleared the path to the driveway.
Plan is to clear to the garage door tomorrow and the ridge along the edge of the pavement on Tuesday so if we get the thaw they are promising I could get the car out on Wed.
