Bought some nice new silicone utensils yesterday so can bin some.
    ....
Sounds great, presume you got waterproof trousers then?! Personally outdoor gear is one of the only things I actually go into the shop for! I did get a couple of berghause tech tops for Christmas which I put on my amazon list but otherwise i tend to go to blacks. Partly I actually quite like those shops I think!!
I hope you mean freegle/charity shop those utensils, not bin them ;)

I don't have waterproof trousers... I was hoping that thermals & gaiters would do the job, but I'll keep an eye out. The problem I've got at the moment is that I simply can't get into town, so I may order online (postman finally made it round with a very heavy bag yesterday!) as I have the flexibility to deal with returns at the moment, and can then fill the gaps from the shops when I finally get out (and on that note... its snowing again...)

Today is going to have to be a paperwork day. The rest of the house is fine. :A

Oh - and I managed to keep the fire going all night, but nearly put it out this morning by refueling in too much of a hurry

Not sur if anyone still her but A QUESTION TO TEaCHERS(OR ANYONE IN THE KNOW), someone(sorry, can't remember!) was talking about the schools and their records due to schools closing and their attendance records.....anyway, what I want to know, as a parent, when we get the end of year reports, are these snow days taken as absent or do they reduce the no. of school days ???
    TIA xx
The school should record it as an enforced closure, and extra statistic not as a child's absence. Jot down the dates in your diary and check they match and./or tally and remember each day is TWO sessions.

Looking at your signature Valli has reminded me that we are getting a woodburning stove installed on February 2nd and 3rd. At some point we are also getting a new central heating system installed too, so hopefully the house will be nice and warm. I was so cold last night when I went to bed (admittedly after the heating went off) that I had to put a jumper on over my pjs and put socks on, and even considered getting up and getting a hat on.

BTW Update on the meet - there are now 5 flyladies confirmed for the meet on Saturday 10th April, and 4 maybes. Only one person in my spare room at the mo, so plenty of room for others who want to stay if they are travelling a long way.
Enjoy the little things, for one day you may look back and realize they were the big things.

Table for kitchen ordered. Just need to be brave and do the other online shopping. Somehow it always takes me ages. I feel it should be a quick way of shopping!
