I have just created the most amazing sandwich. It sounds gross but don't knock it until you've tried it:

It's philedelphia cheese with slices of pickled baby beetroot and pickled onion.

    Gorgeous!

If you dump some chopped cucumber and grated carrot in with the beetroot the night before it's lovely too!

Procrastinator - have a (quick) look at the flylady crisis clean here:

    http://www.flylady.net/pages/FlyingLessons_crisiscleaning.asp

Print it off and get on with it. I use it with depressing regularity!

what a brilliant page - I can definitely relate to this! Thanks.

Since posting this morning I have manged to change the spare bed, have lunch and join the gym, spending an hour doing an induction course. Feel tired and a bit achey but back stood up to the excersise well. As I have paid for the year I must get my monies worth! Now off to do the 15min challenge in my kitchen:T.

  • Busy day here - nice new car & its driver aka DH available so we went to Lidl, checked out school/church (which I can't see us going back to on Monday - 'twas revolting mess of deep snow/impacted ice, no gritting anywhere near the village - we twiddled about a few times with all the mod cons on the car - older cars like mine won't make it!), texted the Head, sorted another few bits of the dining room, and just skidded two bags to the charity shop and did a small Mr T shop before sliding home. The paths here are so dangerous now it worries me about all the olds I see trying to get into town.

Am now having a cuppa and persusing Hunter wellies on the net..may move later once I warm up. Oh and its snowing again...

    Hi all..

Well its been quite a productive day here for a change! I'll post my lists in a tick but apart from the list jobs I've also managed to clean my new fish tank for the first time...seeing as I'm scared of fish I was quite pleased at managing it!
We also discovered our spare freezer in the garage has packed up..goodness knows when so had to throw out loads of stuff () as the indoor freezer is already full to bursting. Then spent this afterrnoon cooking anything that was salvagable, so we had pizza for lunch, have made 2 meat & 2 veggie meat cottage pies and 2 big batches of chilli with the beef and veggie mince I bought yesterday. They'll make about 5-6 meals each...just got to find somewhere to keep them now as we'll never manage to eat it all in the next couple of days!

pigpen Well done on getting rid of OD. Bet it feels wonderful and the end of (I'm sure) a long road.

Jojo Try to keep yourself busy to stop having too much time to think. Will be keeping fingers etc crossed that all is OK for you.

Hello. Thank you fo r saying happy birthday to me. I have had a really really really good day. I have been to see the Chipmonk movie. It was really really really good. Then we went to a SPanish restaurant and had lots and lots and lots of little meals. Mum and dad had some wine. Me and my sister had some ice cream.

Mrs Jelly - my mum says your husband might have what I had. It really hurts and I hope he is better soon and able to enjoy his birthday cake like I can.
