Had a mixed day today. The dog got out (pushed the gate open as it's not as tight due to cold weather) - she legged it and we didn't get her back for over an hour; during which time the old chap over the road gave her a joint of beef; he said hope that's OK (this dog has chronic IBS ). I just smiled sweetly and thanked him for finding her. I actually think he's lonely and was glad of some company.

We then went to local town and got some more tablets for said bad dog, bird food then back for lunch.

Now get this, I'm very proud of myself here as myself and DD emptied all the tins out of the kitchen carousel, cleaned the carousel as best as we could, then put all the savoury tins on the top and sweets on the bottom (too many savouries so some on the bottom too). All similar stuff is together and it will be so much easier to find things now. DD was a :A - so good I gave her some of my emergency Twirl chocolate I've been saving for doing a carppy job like this

I've also done all my normal jobs then am off to get more milk. We've got good old bangers and mash for tea tonight which I have to say I'm looking forward too - proper comfort food for this cold weather.

CwtAxe, sorry to hear about your Dad. I too am on Warfarin and know it's a bit of a nightmare re bleeding etc. Hope he's OK.

Piggers, well done with your debt.

Poppy, glad you decluttered your bedroom a bit more after KH's visit.

I know other have posted but have forgotten what people said (note to self - jot down notes!). Hope you're all OK and keeping safe in this snow and ice.

Mudders hope DS has a lovely day!
Pigpen woooop woooop great news, well done
    Mumof2 what is a carousel?
Axey hope your Dad will be ok

Spent more time clearing snow, next doors path done but I did have to get cross with him at 8am today for clearing ours. He's 80 soon but just plods on regardless. Lovely but I couldn't let him do it. I did borrow his rather aged snow shovel, it's brilliant, metal thing and never seen it before but clears it well. Oh straight after I cleared it it was back, more snow, hardly stopped all day. Local field is knee high at least, another child carted off in an ambulance today from a sledging accident.

Dinner is corned beef hash, my way, oh it's so warming and yummy but the boys turning noses up so they can have something else. DP still on about going to work, I wish he wouldn't.

Dining table cleared, more DW/WM loads (on airer/radiator as limiting how much I wash at the mo) kitchen tidied, sink unblocked (poss frozen)
One day I might be more organised...........

Hi all. Been to Sainsbury's courtesy of next doors Land Rover and have made soup and sausage casserole. Have just decluttered OH and kids to play in the snow (school has set making snow things homework on its website) and am ready for an HHC.

Anyone up for it? HHC 4.15 - 4.45

    Now, just muster some enthusiasm......;)

    Note to self p 90
A NEW job for Pigpen to add - spring clean/prep for the nice weather;)
While they are NOT being used peg bags could be sorted, pegs washed and dried (then they don't mark your nice clean clothes) peg containers alao washed and cleaned and MOST IMPORTANTLY pegs left out on the line brought in before they are ruined - washed, dried and put away tidily!
    Buy new pegs if necessary!

carousel will probably be one of those corner cupboards where circular (or semi-circular) shelves can be spun out, to maximise storage space...
