Hugs CWAxe about your Dad - hope he heals soon

NN decluttered to work and food shopping done. I'm SOooo glad I have 4 wheel drive. Our street was treacherous this morning.

Have also put some washing on the line which is sort of blowing a bit in the fresh wind but it's freezing up a bit. Never mind, it will have had a freshening of sorts. Have taken half a pheasant out of the freezer to defrost and will make pheasant casserole for dinner. Just the sort of food needed on a cold day like today.

  • Hello everyone!

Flying wise I have sorted out the bins and recycling, put the DW on and have some ironing to do in a bit.
Went for a lovely walk this morning, out for 3 hours, with friends along the Llanfoist canal and then back on the cycle track. Very pretty it was too.
Hubby's birthday today so pizza hut tonight.........not diet friendly but it is his birthday!

Um - Pigpen I mentioned a few posts back about the extra challenges we set, I think it used to be either 3 or 5 a week? Perhaps that post got missed!

Have a good day all, see you later

    1 step

I have just created the most amazing sandwich. It sounds gross but don't knock it until you've tried it:

It's philedelphia cheese with slices of pickled baby beetroot and pickled onion.

    Gorgeous!

1 step, we did run with the personal challenge for a bit but it was a nightmare for Toots to keep track of, and caused lots of confusion so it got dropped. Nothing to stop you setting your own though? I might even join you next week.

First load is the DW, washing has been shifted into the TD. Log baskets have been re-filled so I can hoover through or task a small person to do it :p. Dyson is playing up, I suspect it is the main filter like someone else said. It is only a few years old but between animals and building works it takes a lot of abuse.

Must ring the other log suppplier on monday as we will run out soon and the first one has not rung me back. We have used two cubic metres/£90 worth in three months! The stove is on most of the time when I am home tbh. I wonder what I have saved in gas by not having the heating on in the day? I know we used to burn £20 of bagged logs on a cold weekend so it is a saving in real terms.
